Inlet valve leaking at water connection
The valve has a plastic fitting to attach the the water line with a hose fitting. Was not carful enough with the original and damaged it attaching the water line. Ordered a replacement fitting. While it is possible to replace the water inlet valve without pulling the dishwasher out from the cabinet found it was easier to get at with the machine out. The video does and good job of showing the removal and replacing the valve. Easy job, don't be like me and be careful attaching the water line.

KitchenAid Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve
I rolled the dishwasher from under the counter and removed the water supply line from the elbow at the bottom of the dishwasher inlet valve with an adjustable wrench. We then set the dishwasher on its back to gain easy access to the inlet valve.
To remove the inlet valve, Using a philips head screwdriver I removed the one screw holding the bracket and the valve was loose from the dishwasher. Then, two wires were removed from the valve by sliding the clips from the tabs on the valve. The hose that carries the water to the dishwasher was removed by squeezing the clamp with pliers and sliding it onto the hose and pulling the hose from the nipple.
With the valve removed from the dishwasher, the elbow for the supply line can be removed from the bottom of the old valve and installed on the new valve using teflon tape to seal the connection.
The new inlet valve was then installed by reversing the procedure.
Checked to make sure there are no leaks and the dishwasher was good as new. Read more...

KitchenAid Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve
Removed one screw holding the inlet valve to the side rail of the dishwasher. It was attached to the hot water line and then the washer water input line. Removed the electrical connector..Pull straight off, and use a pair of pliers to open the squeeze clamp on the washer hose. The hot water supply hose has a brass fitting to loosen and remove.
Replaced the inlet valve, reconnected the electrical and also replaced the hot water line from under the sink to the washer. Used a new braided 5' hose with fittings. Used teflon tape on the screws and did not over tighten the brass fittings.
Turned on the hot water supply and checked for leaks. Operated the washer and checked for leaks. Replaced the lower covers. Read more...

Dishwasher Not Draining
Ordered both drain & wash impeller kit and the drain check valve with o-ring. Decided to test the cheaper drain check valve first. Pulled dishwasher out from wall & adjacent cabinetry; removed drain hose from disposer and drained as much water as possible; "jacked" side of dishwasher to gain access to drain hose and drain check valve; used pliers to remove hose clamp; placed flat pan underneath to catch remaining water drainage; unscrewed drain check valve; tested under bathroom faucet--determined faulty; replaced with the new one, restored connections, reset dishwasher in proper location; voila--fixed! Plan to return the unneeded impeller kit.

KitchenAid Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve
I disconnected the electrical connections on the water inlet valve. I then removed the panels from the lower part of the dishwasher, I pulled the water inlet line off and then the water return line off.
I replaced the valve. The only problem I ran into is that the inlet portion required a new brass "ell" - the one that was on the old piece would have of course been ok, however, it was solidly in place in the old water inlet valve
the only other issue, and one that would probably be commonly encountered - when I first went to turn off the water supply to the DW, the valve leaked - I was fortunate to be able to take the valve apart, clean it and put it back in place Read more...
