Failed control panel
Do yourself a favor and order this part from someone else. I ordered and was shipped the wrong part twice. And the last order #23392235 I was sent a return label were I had to pay to ship it back !!! I have tried calling to talk to someone and cant get anyone to answer a phone. I know this will not be posted but hoping someone reads this and sends me a return label were i dont have to pay to return it. Lights flashing on the selections and nothing but the cancel button working
Take the 6 torx screws loose and pull down the face. Pop out the bi-metal fuse that is in the current board. Unhook the wires attached. Pop out the old board. Attach the wires to new board. Put the bi-metal fuse back in the board. Re-attach the face on the dishwasher. Be sure to unplug from the outlet before starting. When finished plug dishwasher back in. This fixed my problem. No problems
Removed the old panels with a phillips screwdriver. Removed the control panel and put the door latch and the control board into the new control panel the same way they were in the old one. Also have instructions to follow if needed. Replaced the front panel and put the screws back in. The toe and access panels went in easy, the only thing we had to do was touch up those screw with black paint as there were not new black screws in the kit. It was an easy and simple process. Dishwasher was taking way too long to go through its normal cycle; the indicator lite did not advance to DRY.
Remove just the 6 Phillips screws holding the control panel assembly to the top of the door. Panel lifted off, clearing the latch assembly. Rested it on my knees as I sat in front on a chair. Control board is right there. Wiring plugs easily pulled off the old board. Their locations are clearly marked on the board by wire colors. Removed screws holding old board, replaced with new one, plugged wires onto the new board. Screwed the control panel back on the door, being careful to clear the door latch assembly. Ran the dishwasher through a test cycle (time not included in the repair)and it works like new. Probably saved $150. in labor service charge. Read more...
