This door hinge is a genuine OEM replacement part that is made to fit various front-load washing machines. It is a high-quality replacement that is guaranteed to fit with your model. The door hinge connects the door of the washing machine to the main body of the appliance, allowing the door to open and close smoothly. If the washer door hinge is damaged or no longer securely attached, you will likely have difficulty opening or closing the door. You may also notice excessive movement in the hinge mechanism, and misalignment of the door when closing. You may also notice that the washer door cannot stay closed properly while the washer is running.

The right side hinge that holds the washer top door broke and needed to be replaced.
Popped out the plastic "doors" that cover the metal actuators. Removed the metal actuators on both right and left sides of the door then unscrewed (3 screws each actuator) them from door frame. Slid the actuators out to enable the door to be removed. Unscrewed 2 screws on the top front of the washer which enabled me to angle the top of the washer to expose the screws that hold the plastic hinges. Unscrewed the hinges (2 screws each) and replaced both of the hinges (I figured I'd do both of them now so I don't have to do it again for another 15 years). Put everything back together and all works like new. Read more...

This lid hinge is a genuine OEM replacement part for your washing machine. This hinge is for the left side of your lid, although it is a good idea to replace btoh hinges at once. The hinge holds up the washing machine lid and can become rusted over time. This repair is rated easy by our customers.

Noise and vibration when spinning
Used a video to explain how to do repair. Video showed about 1 1/2 hours, took probably 4 hours at least. Bearings were very difficult to remove and were in very bad shape for a 4 1/2 year old washer. We were very lucky and did not have a spider that needed to be replaced. All and all not to bad of a repair, but without the video we found it would have been a guessing game of how to do the repair. Parts all worked well and the washer is now quiet as a mouse in the spin mode. Spending $200.00 instead of a new washer was the goal and it was completed. Here's hoping to more than 4 additional years before another repair is required. Read more...

Washer would not run, lid switch broken
Repair was easy. Removed two side panels on the control plate. Removed two phillips screws that hold the control panel to the body of the washer. Disconnected the electic connection to the wires leading to the lid switch. Three sided of the lower cover lift over and removed from the washer frame. Access to the lid switch and wire retainers was easy. Removed two screws holding the remaining parts of the switch and replaced with new. Re-routed the wires through the retainers. Set the sides back on making sure the set all the way back in the frame and fit properly into the plastic strips on the back of the washer. Reconnected wires, screws and end caps. Read more...

spin cycle did not activate
Replaced hinge switch. Still no spin cycle. Noticed hinge bearing cracked & if hinge forced into switch, spin activated. Ordered new hinge bearings.Spin cycle still didn't engage. On further examination, observed that hinge was bent. Straightened hinge & worked like a charm. Didn't really need new switch or bearings. NOTE : Avoid having washer door bang shut.Took longer than expected, but each procedure was simple. Read more...

Bearing seal out causing bearings to get wet and very noisy
Watched a short video to figure out to remove panels. After panels were off I removed as much as I could from the inside of the machine. This was not completely necessary however for an extra half hour it made inspection, cleanup and removal of tub housing out the front of the machine much easier. Once out, I split the two halves of the outer basin and sprayed the spider shaft with penetrating oil. Using a brass drift I did have to get a bit aggressive to drive spider shaft out, then I used a heavy metal punch to hammer out the bearings. For those who may not know using brass or a soft metal will keep from damaging reusable parts. At this point it was cleanup time, with dish soap I scrubbed the two halves of the outer basin and the wash basin itself then used emery cloth on the bearing casing and spider shaft. I am a firm believer if u take the time to cleanup properly things go back together much easier. At this point I began to reassemble, replacing tub bearings and seal, the wash basin then putting the two halves of the outer basin back together. I strongly recommend replacing gasket for the halves of the outer basin, for as much as it takes to get there it is money well spent to up the chances of a leak free system. Now with the wash tub back together it was time to reset the tub and hook everything back up. I skipped a lot of steps but if a person pays attention, takes pictures if they have to, even numbers lines with a sharpie it is a very easy repair. Very easy but very time consuming. I am DIY’er, in all I spent about ten hours over two days to do this job. Thus being said I am very particular spent a lot of time cleaning, scrubbing looking at as many wear points and checking for rubbed wires. Hope this helps someone out there, definitely not a strong writer or like doing it. Oh one other thing, I ordered the shocks on the bottom side of wash tub just because I guess not thinking they were bad just thinking I could help tune it up. Was surprised to find the old ones were completely shot, was glad I ordered new ones. After repairs, noise is gone and machine is quiet again. Thank you, your website is very easy to find parts and order. Read more...
