Roper Refrigerator Control Bracket

This is a control bracket for your refrigerator, and may also be known as the dispenser control bracket. The function of this part is to hold the micro switches and the light socket in the freezer dispenser section in place. Its measurements are roughly 9 inches long and 5 inches high, and this model comes in white. The tools you will need in order to do this repair include a Phillips screw driver, a quarter-inch nut-driver, and a pair of needle-nose pliers. If your ice dispenser is not working properly, your bracket could be the problem.

Front Door Ice Wouldn't Work And Air Going Into Freezer
Thanks to the pictorial diagram, I was able to order correct parts. It was just a matter of removal of broken parts and replacing them. Ice maker now working and air is no longer getting into freezer which was freezing up ice maker. Thanks for timely delivery, now I am able to use ice dispenser, which I haven't used for long time. Roper Refrigerator Bracket Door Stop
First step was to determine whether the screws were metric or US standard - they are metric. The next step was to remove the top hinge in order to remove the door and replace the bottom cams and brackets. This took a couple of minutes, replacing the cams was about 5 minutes and putting the door back on the pivot and reattaching the top hinge was another couple of minutes.
If I had called a service tech they would have charged a minimum of two hour and for the parts. I estimate that I saved myself about $100. Read more...

The refrigerator door was difficult to maintain closed
Because the lower cams are made out of hard plastic the repeated opening and closing of the door wore them out. The hardest part was taking all of the food that is normally stored in the door.First step was to determine whether the screws were metric or US standard - they are metric. I purchased this Bracket Dispenser for $6.00 and it fit on My fridge perfectly. I just used the screw hole that was a little higher on the water dispenser. Simply cut off the broken end / or Buy a new Hose (Cost at Lowes about $6.00) guide hose along the bracket and use a socken set to reinstall the screw. Water is not squirting on people any more.
