The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This part is the top spinner located at the very top of the wash tub. Water passes through all the spinners causing it to dispense all around the tub.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Worked as expected
Due to positioning to get the part in, it was hard to snap the pieces together, but is probably a good indication that it will stay in place. Otherwise, it worked as expected. Delivery time was reasonable.

Very easy repair - harder to remove basket than do replacement
Exact replacement to OEM parts. On my model washer the plastic parts that have be removed so that the upper disk rack - basket can be removed took more care, and more time, than replacing the spinner. Be sure to take care not to drop the screws that hold the bracket for the spinner to the washer tub. Put something in the lower rack to catch small parts. This includes the plastic button used to secure the spinner. I had enough finger strength to push the button into place, This might not be true for everyone. You might need to support the spinner and use a screwdriver to put more force on the button. It will take you more time to read this than to do the repair.

Spinner rivet wore out.
Removed baskets and water feed tube and put on new part. Dropped a screw and had to remove screen. Otherwise, it would have taken 10 minutes.

The spinner came off because the male part got too small & the female part too big
I took one screw out. That allowed me to pull the plastic flat tube away from the upper tub. I snapped the male & female parts together & the spinner held. Thanks

After 14 years of use, the upper (3rd level) wash spinner was found in the center of the upper drawer.
It is possible to replace the 3rd level wash spinner by removing two retaining screws holding the plastic water passage inside the dishwasher. One screw is on the back wall and the other on the ceiling. It is advisable to place a towel over the bottom of the tub to prevent dropping the screws inside the bottom grinding chamber. The plasti

Insert the plastic bearing into the spinner from the bottom side of water passage and press the plastic retaining pin into the plastic bearing from the top side. You will hear an audible click when the retaining pin is fully pressed into the plastic bearing. Replace the removed screws to complete the repair.

top wash spinner came off
removed one screw holding the water tube up; gently pulled tube down to access male plug; removed worn plug, inserted new plug; snapped spinner and female plug from the bottom; replaced water tube screw.
There is a button that connects the spinner. It wore out, and the spinner fell into the top rack after a use of a cycle one day. Your diagram of the dishwasher was very helpful to understand what part to order. Your delivery was swift, and we only had to hand wash dishes for three days. Easy as pie. If you can build with Legos you can do this. It takes about 60 seconds! Really. Just follow the instructions given by others (although I did not remove the upper screw, I just carefully pulled the upper arm down about 1"). Insert the keeper button in the top, insert the spinner in the bottom and snap together!

Top rack was not rinsing dishes properly. Spinner fell down inside dishwasher.
I first removed the upper rack. Using a Phillips screwdriver, I removed both the upper and back wall screws, holding the rinse tube.(be careful not to drop screws) The new kit has a spinner, cup type washer and pin. The pin (this the part that actually failed) will fall or push out from the upper side of the rinse tube when the screws are

Simply place the cup type washer through the solid side of the spinner (curled plastic molded side twirls the water over dishes) and install the new pin from the upper side of the rinse tube, while holding spinner and washer. Push pin until it snaps in place. (don't need too much pressure) Re-install the rinse tube using Phillips screws and you're done!

#rd level spinner fell off after breaking.
I pulled down on the upper spray arm and took out the broken plastic part and put in the new one then snaped in the retainer part and that is about it. Took less than a minute and did not need to remove dish rack or loosen any screws.

Upper wash spinner fell off
It honestly took more time to take the dishwasher baskets out than the actual repair. Once the baskets were out, I put a piece of newspaper over the lower drain in case I dropped a part or the screw. I removed the top screw to access the broken part, removed it, and installed the new spinner. I put the screw back in and 2 minutes later,

My spinner fell off and I need to replace it. Does the 3rd level wash spinner kit have everything i need, or do I also need the screw 3400850 (part # 11 on the upper wash & rinse parts diagram)?
For model number gu1200xtkq0
Hello Beverly,
Thank you for your question.
The 3rd level wash spinner kit does include everything you need to replace the spinner. The screw is used to hold the spray tower in place.
I hope this helps!

Thank you for your prompt answer, but it was a little unclear. You said the leak could be affecting the pressure and preventing this part from spinning, but the part is not spinning because it fell off along with the pin that holds it. I do not see any other cause of the leaking and still wonder if i replace the spin kit, will it fix the leak. Thank you.
For model number 66517379301
Hello Tom, thank you for your question. The water may be coming from the to of the unit straight out towards the door, which can cause some leaking water. If you haven't noticed any water before this part fell off, it is probably the cause of the leak. I would recommend replacing this part and if the leak continues we can provide some troubleshooting information at that time. I hope this helps!

I found the part inside the dishwasher but not the locking pin. I noticed some water on the floor. Could this part falling off cause the leaking?
For model number 66517379301
Hi Tom, thank you for your question. It could be. It depends on if the leaking is effecting the water flow up to that spinner. If the leaking is effecting the pressure that could be why this part is not spinning. I do imagine that if you figure out what is causing the leaking and if there are no clogs in your tubing and filters, that may fix the issue you are having with this part. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Do I have to replace the spinner, if I just need a locking pin? Have spinner and bushing. Thanks
For model number 66517483300
Hello Bill, Thank you for writing. The Pin is only sold as part of the kit so the spinner would need to be ordered. You do not need to replace the spinner but it will come as part of the Kit. We hope this helps!
