Mixer had a broken planetary
Mixer was given to me and I went on the Internet and found Partselect and they had the items I needed to repair the unit. I've worked on appliance's for a long time and for just a few dollars I repaired a $500.00 mixer for less than $35.00. The repair is very simple remove the cover band, then the four (4) cover screws, Then the four (4) gear case cover screws. The top of the old planetary shaft is there remove the snap ring, remove the attachment gear, then remove the pin by pushing it out, push down on the old shaft. Install the new planetary by doing the disassembly in reverse. Mark

KP26M9XCOB is the model number on the bottom of the mixer. It does not have a 5. Ser.# is W71878402. We need a new dough hook. I believe dough hook W11646968 will fit. Would you be able to confirm if this is the correct part. The reason we are needing a new part is the coating and metal shards are coming off the dough hook that came with it.
