THE LOWER FRAME CRACKED; LOOKS LIKE THE DOOR IS ATTACHED BY 2 SCREWS. TO ACCESS THOSE SCREWS, A BLACK PLASTIC FRAME MUST COME OFF. WILL THIS POP OFF WITHOUT BREAKING?
For model number JYM3160DF4WW
Hi Bob,
Thank you for your question. Here is some information that may help with your repair. Before replacing the door assembly on your microwave, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet. Next, open the door and use a Phillips head screwdriver to unthread the 2 screws securing the front vent. Then use a putty knife to pry the vent off. With the vent removed you can now lift off the old door assembly and set it aside. Next, install the new door assembly by inserting the hinge pins into the holes in the hinges. Reinstall the front vent by aligning the top edge first and then press the bottom edge into place and secure it with the screws. Plug the microwave back in. Your microwave should now work for you. We hope this helps!
