How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?

Easy Fix for a cracked blender jar
Received a new jar for my blender which works well. Instead of disposing of a good blender, am able to use it again with the new jar. Thanks for making the parts available!

Simple and Easy
Got the new part in the mail. Threw out the old broken part, and I am back in action. This process was surprisingly easy and if any of my other kitchen aid products wear out over time, I will use this again.

Overpriced
At $70+ with tax and shipping, it was overpriced but the best option we could find to replace the original jar on which the bottom had come apart.

Every Jar leaks at the bottom
This review is more of an indictment of Kitchenaid than on Easy Choice Appliance Parts. We have had this blender for 5+ years, and every jar leaks. This is such a poor design, and I cannot understand why Kitchenaid does not fix it. This is our 3rd jar, but my wife refused to buy a new blender, because she likes the base unit. The jar starts with a small leak around the blade bearings, and you will see a small line where contents from the jar spray out around the inside of the base.....gradually it gets worse until the leak is so bad that you lose a lot of the contents through the bottom of the jar each time you use it. So....we buy a new jar every year or so. I can tell you this...this is the last Kitchenaid appliance that I ever buy. I have complained to them and then act like they have never heard this issue before...however it happens on every unit, so I can't believe they do not know about it.

The old coupling was not removable to replace with new one.
Simply not possible ! I read reviews from other who have tried to remove the old coupling and not one seems to have succeeded. Unfortunately, you have to buy the coupling , 7$, and also the jar which has the incorporated blade, 87$ in order to complete the repair.
Seeing that the coupling can’t be replaced, you are stuck with

My recommendation, when the blender stops working, don’t waste your money buying these replacement parts, throw the old blender away. I ended buying a Ninja bender for 100$ that works a lot better than the old Kitchenaid.
The washer of the spindle in the center of the jar is worn out and fluid leaks from jar.
No repair work is needed. The replacement jar is 100% identical to the original. It performs as expected. We are 100% satisfied.

Original Blender Jar fell apart
I didn't realize there was a spoon in the blender and it made a total racket as the blades and housing were falling apart. The blender jar, blades and housing are all one piece so my less than 2 month old blender was completely trashed. Rather than spend $100 on a new blender, I spent $24 on a new jar... popped it on the blender in plac

Put masking tape around the coupling and put the coupling in a vise upside down. took the bottom apart and unscrewed the main shaft screw. ITS LEFT HAND THREAD!!! Screw on new coupling and put the bottom back on.The masking tape is just to protect the finish.

The bottom of the blender jar has been used and has broke down over time. Will i have to pay to have it replaced ?
For model number RKSB580
Hi Anton,
Thank you for your question. More than likely yes you would. The manufacturer usually does not warranty for normal wear and tear on an item. You could check with them though, if you would like. Good luck with your repair.
