Would have been nice to have known that the replacement switch operated in the opposite fashion from the original switch. Also, kit was missing the two screws to attach the new lever operator.
I had expected to just have to install a new spring steel "L" shaped switch operator to replace the one that had broken off. Installation of the new switch and redesigned operator was difficult in tight quarters. Good news, four hours later compactor works as advertised. Hope that the revised design works well and for a long time.

Compactor draw was not opening fully as the wheel bearings had seized
I followed the you tube video instructions provided by customer care. This involved pulling the unit free from the cabinet, removing several screws that held the housing in place, this gave access to the wheel assembly, then I removed the nuts that held the wheel assembly in place. Fitting the new wheel assemblies was easy as was replacing the housing screws. After reinserting the draw and pushing the unit back into the cabinet it worked like new

Rotary switch had finally worn out and was brittle and broken on our 30 plus year old trash compactor.
Removed the switch knob, the outer nut, and the front plate.
Unplugged the old switch from the 3 wires and plugged them into the new switch and put it back together with the new knob. Probably less than 5 minutes.

Broken Drive Belt On The Ram
I Removed The Back Panel To Get At The Top Panel Which In Turn I Got To Top Plate To Access The Gear Drive, The Ram Was In The Down Position So I Used a Socket And Rachet To Crank The Ram Up By Hand, I Then Loosened The Plastic Gear Mount To Move The Gear Forward To Attach The New Belt, Then Reversed The Procedure putting The Campactor In operating Condition And It Work's Great
