99558 (1988) Kenmore Range - Instructions

Drilled a pilot hole with a 1/16 th drill bit and tapped off screw head.

pulled out the old burner, plugged in the new burner. Turned on the power and it heated up very quickly.

I cut the power to the circuit. Removed the burner and then unscrewed the old aluminum plate attached to the range top cover. Opened the topcover to access the wires. I cut the two wires being sure that I left enough length. I then slipped the two new wires with the brass contacts into the new black plastic holder until it locked. Reattached the new metal plate to the range cover, fed the wires through and snapped the new plastic holder into the aluminum plate. Secured wire ends with the ceramic wire nuts. Total time about 30 minutes.

1. Turn off oven.
2. Switch off circuit braker to oven.
3. Remove two screws holding element.
4. Pull element out to expose connectors.
5. Disconnect connectors and remove element.
6. Reverse procedure for installation.

The repair was a trivial effort as all parts simply lift off the range top by hand. The impetus for replacement was pretty much looks driven.

Removed 2 screws, cut the wires, pulled the part out that the element plugs into. Replaced the old part with the new one and put the screws back in to hold it, reconnected the wires and plugged in the element. Turned stove on and Valaaaa! It was fixed in 10 minutes! The removal of the old burner and installation of the new burners was easy. Just lift the opposite side that rests on the rim and pull burner out. New burner then gets inserted and the opposite side goes right into rim. It took all of 30 seconds to replace both burners. I wish I had replaced these when they first started to go!!

grandson removed the two screws holding in the burned out unit and removed the two wires, installed them into the new unit and put the prongs into place. very easy and certainly very economic. delivery was quick and postage was reasonable. Thank you.

removed the plug that had burned up on one of the top burners, replaced it with a new plug purchased from parts select., it was quite easy ,I unpluged stove and raise the top exposing wiring for the burners cut the old plug wiring and connected the wires for the new plug with connectors and shrink tubing supplied in the repair kit easy and quick repair

I had previously partially removed the element and tested with multi-meter to determine that it was not working (open circuit). Repair procedure follows:

Turned off Power
Removed 2 retaining screws
Pulled element out part way
Removed 2 spade connectors supplying power
Replaced element w/new element
Reversed procedure
Tested Oven; worked fine.

was very easy to install I only needed a phillips screwdriver to remove old part and install new one.

As soon the Bake Element has arive, I install it no more than 5 min... All I nedd was a Screw driver. It was so easy, Thank You PartSelet!

Removed block (1 screw) Cut 2 connecting wires. Strip insulation. Attach new block with wire nut(per enclosed instructions) Heat shrink wrap with Lighter. attach block. 10 minutes: problem solved

The new handle, braces and screws arrived as quoted. My son-in-law installed the new one without much trouble. The handle is black and matches the black front of my stove. The older handle was sort of a wood-brown. Thus I like the new one better. Thank you for good service and prompt attention to the problem.

Remove racks, extract two phillips head screws, pull out element, unattached wires, install new element, reverse procedure to complete installation. (Note: With the racks and element out, great time to clean oven.)
