The light would not turn on when the refrigerator door was opened
I removed the plastic portion to get to the switch and wires. I removed the old switch by disconnecting the two wires and pushing it out of its setting.

I discovered the old switch only had 2 prongs where the new switch had 3. Once I figured which 2 of the 3 prongs would light the lightbulb,
I then connected the two wires to the correct prongs of the new switch. I pushed the new switch into its setting and replaced the plastic portion on the refrigerator. Voila, success. The refrigerator door now comes on when its door is opened.

Thanks for the having the part and getting it at our door step in 3 days.

Ice maker not making ice and dripping water
This is an easy fix. The hardest part was just determining which part to replace. But the Q&A's for the ice maker from this site steered me right. And their video on how to install was easy to follow. The only difference I found was my Whirlpool had only 2 electrical connectors instead of the 3 in the video. I finished the job in about 15 minutes so everything in my freezer stayed solidly frozen.

Evaporator coil fan stopped working and needed replacement.
After removing shelving and evaporator coil cover, suspended water bladder and evaporator coil with bungy cords. Removed and repaired drain pan, closing pitted holes and applying a coat of paint. Pushed evaporator fan WITH strofoam replacement to better insulate coil. Ensure that fan is facing up so that evap coil cold air is pushed up to top shelf area (mine came facing down). I used two digital thermometers, placing one on the top shelf and the other one the middle shelf to measure temp. Both read 37 degrees, which is fine.

Never did this particular repair before. Fairly easy.

Bottom plastic door cam on side-by-side frig worn, and door stop bracket broken.
1. Removed 2 screws on top hing.
2. Easily lifted door and place on table.
3. Removed set screw for door cam.
4. Removed stop bracket.
5. Reversed steps 4 thru 1.

When tightening top 2 screws, make sure door gap is consistent and top of frig door aligns with the top of the freezer door.

NOTE: The lady at PartSelect who helped me with my order was great. Took the time to verify my parts. Prior to this I had bought the part from a nearby appliance parts store. They sold me the wrong part, even though I showed them a picture of my model number plate b4 ordering. In the future, I will always go to PartSelect for my appliance part purchases.
