This guide cover is made entirely of plastic and measures approximately 16 inches wide. If the lint filter assembly for your dryer is broken, chipped, or cracked, and ultimately cannot perform efficiently anymore, covers like this must be replaced immediately. Located just inside the dryer door. The guide cover (or grill cover) is where the hot air circulates through the appliance. This part may crack or become damaged over time, causing clothes to get caught on it while it is in motion. Open the dryer door, remove the lint screen, and remove the screen using your screwdriver. Line up the new grill cover with the moisture sensor and the housing on either side, and it should snap into place. Once it is firmly in place, use your screwdriver to put the screws back in.
