This chrome OEM control knob measures 1 1/2" in diameter. It easily attaches onto the D-shaped shaft in order to allow controls to be used. Refer to your model number and user manual to ensure this part is correct for you. This part is sold individually. We recommend replacing all control knobs for your unit at the same time, as they wear at a consistent rate to one another. This very easy repair should only take a few moments to complete; just slide the old knob off the shaft and the new one on.

This is a surface burner knob. This knob is a little under 2 inches in diameter. It is a black part with gray numbering indicating the temperature level of the surface burner: low, medium, high, off, and lite. This knob is made entirely of plastic. Its function is to allow the user to control the heat coming from the surface burner on the range. This model will only accept a D-shaped shaft. To make this repair, grab the knob with a tight grip and pull it straight off the shaft. When you receive your new part, you can snap it back into place.

Wanted to "renew" cook top
The drip pans, burner knobs and electric surface elements are easily removed and replaced. The new receptacles for the burners were NOT easy to replace, but electricians were on hand to install when they replaced the cook top into the new counter top. fan knob appeared to be wrong part
I couldn't figure out how to install the new fan knob because the D connection wasn't visible. I called the help line, and was connected to a very helpful person. She read some other reviews, and we determined that it is often necessary to remove additional parts of the previous knob before installing the new knob. I got a pair of pliers, and then had the nerve to really yank out the previous part remnants. The knob then attached with ease. I wouldn't have known what the problem was if I hadn't talked with this very helpful person.The key is--if you are installing the knob with the D connection, and you don't see a D receptacle in your old part, be brave and really exert force to pull the remaining pieces of the old knob. My cooktop knob melted
I had used a pan too large for the middle burner - result: melted knob. Just pulled the old one off (up and straight) and then pushed the new one down firmly.
