Right front heating element was either off or on high, no in between
Unplug range and pull it out to access the back. Pull knob off bad control at front making sure to check the orientation of the rod the knob goes on—it matters—and remove two brass screws. Then remove the four hex screws holding the top metal panel on at the back of the range (two have washers) and lift the panel off to expose the controls. (I then took a photo of the switch in situ to remember its orientation and how the wires were connected.) Use pliers to remove wires, then connect up and install the new switch, and put the brass screws back in at front to hold it in place. I used the pliers to turn the rod to the correct orientation before putting the knob back on. Reinstall the back panel with four hex screws. Plug the range in and test.

FYI the directions for accessing the infinite switch that came with the range also had me remove two screws under each side of the front of the control panel, but as far as I could tell that wasn’t necessary. Read more...

First, remove the element from the stove top, and pull out the old drip pan. Insert the new bowl and make sure it is aligned to where the element is plugged in. Lastly, you can put the element back in. For safety precautions, make sure to unplug the range from the power source and wait until the surface is cool before replacing this part. This part is sold individually, if you are replacing more than one drip bowl on your stove at once, you will need to account for this. To replace, simply pull the old surface elements and burner bowls off, give everything a thorough clean, and install the new parts with no tools necessary.

This Drip Bowl, also known as a burner bowl or drip pan, is made to fit an element 8 inches in diameter and comes in chrome. The actual total diameter of this drip bowl is closer to 10 inches, but don't worry, it will fit your 8-inch burner. This bowl is used to catch drippings and food that falls when cooking on the oven element. The drip bowl might burn, become rusty, and wear down over time, and will need to be replaced. Replacing the drip pan is very easy. The elements on the oven must be removed to access the pan underneath. When replacing the bowl, make sure to line up the hole with the terminal block where the element plugs into, and always remove power to your appliance and ensure it is completely cool before commencing your repair. This part connects the wire harness to the surface element and is used for ranges. The kit includes interchangeable mounting brackets, ceramic wire nuts, heat shrink protective tubing, and wires. rental property stove only had 2 working burners and bottom drawer off track
first i took out burners then i took out the screws of the termnal block bracket. i then raised the lid on the stoveand clipped the wires on all 4 of the terminal block kits.i then slipped the shrink wrap on wires and used the wire nuts to connect wires together then heated the shrink wrap. I then put screws back in terminal block brackets. I then put the burners on while looking under lid so i would know they were making good connections as this is a bad design from factory. if you pull out burners to clean them and they are not put back in right you dont have a good connection and that causes the terminal blocks to get hot and melt. thats what happened in my case.

The 8-inch surface element switch is also known as an infinite heat switch, and is a part for your range. It controls the large surface element. It will turn the element on and off, and allow you to change the heat intensity. The knob to adjust the heat setting mounts on the shaft of this swtich. The burner knob is sold separately. If your large surface element will not turn on, or you cannot adjust the heat intensity, you may have a broken or damaged surface burner switch. Be sure you disconnect your range from the power source before you begin this repair.

The switches failed on both front burners.
Remove nobs from both switches.
Pull out the range (the hardest part).
REMOVE THE POWER PLUG FROM THE WALL
Remove 7 screws with nut driver and take off upper back panel.
Remove 2 phillips screws from front, they hold the switch brackets.
The new switches don't fit in the bracket so discard the bracket keeping the screws.
Removing 1 wire at a time from the old switch transfer to the new noting the letter/number ie "H1 P1" combos they are all there just not in the same places on the new switch.
When wiring is complete, using the bracket ,screws from the front screw on the switches.
Replace the back panel with 7 screws.
In my case the old nobs did not fit the shafts of the new switches. I found some at the local hardware store. I bought 4 for $0.29 each! I expect to be replacing the other burner switches shortly. Read more...

This is a 240 volt bake element for your oven or range. The kit comes with two installation screws and the element. The element functions by supplying heat from the bottom of the oven to bake or cook your food. You may need to replace the bake element if your oven is not heating properly. This is a black metal part (Width 13 inches, length 16.5 inches, depth 1-1/2 inches ) which can be installed onto your range with a screwdriver. Installation is rated as "medium" difficulty. This element is the part that heats to allow cooking, and if broken or missing you'll be unable to cook. This part attaches to the lower section of the range. Refer to your model number and user manual to ensure this part is right for you. Each screw gets screwed into each wire terminal with a Phillips screw driver. Hold the wires forward to make sure the wires do not fall back through the rear of the oven. Unplug your appliance or shut off your circuit breaker to the appliance before installing the new part.
