Microwave wouldn't turn on
I found the thermostat & one connection burnt... replaced the thermostat and replaced a wire terminal. I checked the door switches and found the one with burnt connections faulty... the switch was constantly closed, even when it was supposed to be switched open. Replaced the switch and the thermostat, and the microwave now works like ne

Microwave ran for a few seconds then cut off completely, no power at all. Changed door switches and line fuses. What should we check next?
For model number JVM3670SK06
Hello Sara, thank you for contacting us. The line fuse and door switches were the mode common fixes for this. The thermostat cut out would be the next possible fix. Hope this helps!

Microwave works fine when started but the internal light intensity fluctuates and begins dimming and the turntable slows in sync. Shortly after the light is off and the turntable has stopped. Something is still on making noise, but I can't tell what it is. The control panel and led all work along with the clock, the counter light, and the fan. After it cools down it will start up again. Something is failing. Would the thermostat cut out be the best place to start? Thanks so much-love your website.

Hi Jim, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the capacitor. When testing with the meter you should see a spike on the meter, and then a slow drop to 0. There should be no continuity in the capacitor.Hope this helps!

Unit turns on will not heat is it the range thermal fuse?
For model number JVM35705K02
Hi Bill,
Thank you for your question. It could be a number of parts. You would have to test them to be sure which one is giving you the issue. This is one of the parts that you should check. You should also take a look at your diode, your door switches, and your thermal fuse. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My thermostat cut-out wb27x108810 burnt up along with the wires. There were 3 wires that came out with the thermostat. Two about same thickness and one smaller. My question is do two wires go on one terminal and the other one by itself on the other terminal. If the answer is yes which two go together and which one by itself.
For model number JVM3670SK06
Hello Robert, thank you for your question. Yes, two wires go on one terminal and one goes on the other. The two wires should be on one terminal that goes toward the back of the microwave. I hope this helps.

Microwave runs for a few minutes then shuts off. Come back on in about 15 minutes.
For model number JVM1851BH06
Hello Fred, thank you for your question. It definitely sounds like there is an issue with one of the thermostats or thermal fuses in the unit. We would recommend testing PartSelect Number: PS953949, PartSelect Number: PS239287, PartSelect Number: PS239318. To test these parts, turn your multi meter to the continuity setting. Place one of the probes on the meter on each of the fuses wire terminals. If the fuse is good the meter will make an audible beeping noise. If the part is bad, you will not hear any beeping noise indicating. If your multi meter doesn't have a continuity setting you can conduct a continuity test by turning the meter to the ohms setting. Touch each of the probes together the reading produced will act as a base line. When you touch each prong on your thermostat the reading will be very close to your base reading if the thermostat/fuse is good. If it is bad, the reading will be much different than your base line. I hope this helps!
