Engine Breather Tube Grommet Specifications

This OEM grommet, also called a 90-degree breather tube, is sold individually. Black in color and made of rubber, this is a 90-degree elbow for the crankcase breather tube of your mower engine. If you notice a reduction in the mower engine performance, and engine backfires, this part is likely to be in need of replacing. It can develop cracks due to fatigue, and our troubleshooting tip is to inspect this part if dark smoke is coming out of the exhaust, it is a telltale sign. This is an easy repair to make, and does not require any tools. The new grommet attaches on the breather tube fromt he crankcase to the carburetor.

If the breather tube grommet is cracked does that make engine not run correctly.

A cracked grommet can allow unmetered air to enter the engine, disrupting the air-fuel mixture and causing the engine to run lean, leading to rough idling, misfires, and decreased fuel efficiency. You may need to replace the breather tube grommet, part number PS9294797. We hope this solves your problem!
