Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This part is the replacement inlet valve for your dishwasher. It is approximately 4-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches. The water inlet valve in your dishwasher connects to the water source and solenoid wires, and ensures the tub has the right amount of water entering it. If your dishwasher continues to fill after it is full, or if it fills slowly, you may need to replace this valve. Another indication that your valve is damaged and will need to be replaced, is if you notice it is leaking when the dishwasher fills up. Before you begin this repair, be sure to disconnect the water and power sources from your washer. This part is sold individually and is an authentic OEM part.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money

I need a water inlet valve 12 volt can you help ?
For model number Ldt7797bm
Hi James, thank you for your question. The compatible part that you are looking for is the water inlet valve, part number PS8769826. It supplies water to the dishwasher. This solenoid valve is rated 12 Volt, DC. We hope this information is useful!

Hi, The dishwasher tries to start but no water flows, there is a smoking circuit smell, then after 3 minutes it beeps and flashes “LE” on the display. Could a shorted coil on the inlet valve be the culprit? Don’t want to spend $80 on the part if it is likely something else. Is there a coil resistance specification? I have not removed anything yet.
Thanks!
For model number LDP7808ss
Hello Robert, thank you for reaching out. The LE error code indicates issues with the motor or wiring harness between the motor and the control board. We recommend you check the wire harness, part number PS12715214, for any damages and replace them if they are damaged or burned out. We hope this solves your problem!
The lights are blinking and the dishwasher won't run
For model number ldf5545st
Hello Donna, thank you for writing. The first part we recommend checking is the Door Latch and switch Assembly PartSelect Number PS12588938. If that part tests ok, then replace the Control Panel Assembly PartSelect Number PS12374319. We hope this helps and good luck with your repair.
We are getting squeeling noise periodically during cycle. Mostly later in cycle around rinse, drain period. NO ERROR CODES SHOWING! I have changed the drain pump. No difference. Looking now to inlet water solenoid valve as may be sticking and transmitting squeeling sou d down into system. US, 120 unit, not sure which voltage model at the water solenoid . Can you advise correct parts ? Price. Thanks in advance.

Hello James, Thank you for your inquiry. Researching your model, part# 5221DD1001E would be the correct water inlet valve. You can use a multimeter to test the valve for continuity, and we have included a link to our article on how to test it. We would also recommend checking the circulation pump and motor, and the diverter motor. The current prices are listed on our website. We hope this helps.
When I start a cycle, there is a slight clicking noise around three cycles of clicking then a loud droning sound like the pump is running but without water. I believe it may be the water inlet valve as it is not getting water initially but I’m not 100% when the water is supposed to get added. It comes up with an error code OE after running a while and there’s no water entering the unit throughout the entire cycle before the error code comes up. My belief it is a bad water inlet valve but again I’m not 100% sure. Internet is saying an OE error code is a clogged line or drain but the unit is not clogged nor is the line. This unit is 2 weeks out of warranty and barely gets used. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Francis, Thank you for your inquiry. The clicking is the control board closing the relays to the drain pump, which also relates to the OE error as this can be caused by a faulty drain pump. You can test both the water inlet valve and drain pump with a multimeter to see if they have continuity. We hope this helps you.
