How to change the light swicht ….. any special info. Thanks
For model number FPEH3077RFA
Hi Juan,
Thank you for your question. Before installing the light switch, please unplug the stove from the electrical outlet. Then, remove the screws securing the back access panel and set the panel aside.
Once the back panel has been removed, you will then need to lift-up the cooktop and the panel underneath. To lift the cooktop, lift-up on the front corners and make sure your cooktop locks open. Two legs in the front should lift-up with the cooktop that will support it. With the cooktop lifted, remove the screws securing the panel to the stovetop. To lift the panel, remove the legs securing the cooktop and lift the panel up so it is up over the stove pipe found in the left rear corner. Do not remove the panel from the cooktop, put the panel behind the legs to secure it. The light switch is located in back right corner. There is a long bar connected to the light switch. You will need to bend the bar to pull it, so when you release the switch, you can slide it forward. To remove the light switch, unplug the wire harness connected to it. Then use a flathead screwdriver to release the tabs holding it in place. With switch released, you can grab the rod and pull the switch forward. Remove the old switch from the rod and insert the rod into the hole on the switch. Then feed it back to the hole in the back and lock it into place. Then follow the steps in reverse to put the stove back together. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!
