Our oven has two 9-inch front elements (one has a duel element and the other single). The single element no longer heats properly. It only gets warm to the touch. All the other elements (6-inch in the rear and the duel 9-inch on the left side) work perfectly. Can i assume that a new 9-inch single element pt. #mme62385201 is needed? I noted the part cost is $172.

I purchased this electric range 4 years ago and the right front heating element stopped working. I removed the element and checked the resistance at 21 ohms. The schematic on the back of the stove said around 23 ohms was normal. I ordered a new relay control board from sears and installed it. The element will come on for about 3 seconds and go out. This is what it did before i replaced the pcb assy ebr74164804. I know its the right part. Could it be the heating element bad ??

Thank you for your question. Where the board has just been replaced and the element is still not working correctly, it may be the element. You will need to test it with a multimeter to see if it is causing the problem. Also, check the board to make sure it is not defective. Merry xmas! Lower left hand dual burner on LG electric stove and convection range doesn't come on. Every so often the inner burner will fire, but then says the heck with it and quits. What parts should I replace?

Hello Jake, Thank you for the question. In most cases the Element PartSelect Number PS7795472 will need to be replaced. You can test the element for continuity with a Multi Meter as well Hope this helps!
