This turntable motor coupler connects the turntable motor to the turntable tray to activate the tray. If your tray does not consistently turn or does not turn at all, replace this part. This part measures 1 1/2" in diameter. Remember to unplug your microwave from the power source as a safety precaution. Turn table stopped rotating.
I tried to install the new part several times, but it didn't work. So I used a pencil to move things around down the shaft. After that the new part went in and now my microwave is doing what I need it to do.

My turntable quit working
I replaced the turntable motor and coupler. It did not fix the problem. Not sure where to go from here. Looks like the next step involves parts that are as expensive as a new microwave.
Because the turntable coupler was broken, the turntable wouldn't rotate.
I simply removed the broken coupler and snapped the replacement part into place, being careful to line up the slot on the new coupler. Just a note: the troubleshooter guide on the website was a great help in determining how to fix the problem. The comment section let me know this a simple fix anyone could do.

Coupler broke at shaft & motor seized
Removed 5 philip head screws from under panel. Under panel droped down exposing drive motor. Removed one drive motor screw, replaced with new motor at the same time lining up new coupler. Pressed together, reinstalled motor srew, attached wire coupling and tested. Worked fine. Reinstalled lower panel screws (5)and unit was ready to go. I

My Turntable Coupler was broken
I took the glass table up and underneath was the turntable coupler. I reached in with my hands and gently pulled the old coupler out. Once out I lined up the new one and gently pushed it in the hole until it locked into place. The process took about 5 minutes to complete. Very easy to install.

broken turntable coupler
Pulled off old coupler.It was tight so used a trim bar to remove. Checked motor shaft since there was 2 types available.One, square shaft,other D shaft. Ordered in AM and received the next day in PM by Fedex.. Can`t get much better than that! Pushed on and done......Like new again...

How to remove and replace this turntable coupler
For model number JVM1650WH01
Hi Larry, thank you for reaching out. Firstly, unplug the appliance power cord. Then open the oven door to access the glass tray. Just remove the glass tray, and pull the turntable coupler straight upward. Now install a new turntable coupler, align it with a motor shaft, and position the glass tray on the coupler. How do you replace the Drive Motor for this model ?
For model number JVM1650wh01
Hi Larry, thank you for reaching out. We would recommend following these general instructions to replace the drive motor, part number PS237772: First, turn off the power supply to the unit. Remove all the screws securing the bottom panel and lower it. Disconnect the wire harness from the drive motor, and then remove the mounting screws. Rotate the motor clockwise to detach it. To install the new motor, insert the motor shaft into the drive coupler. Rotate the motor anti-clockwise, and insert the mounting screw. Reconnect the harness wire to the drive motor and put the bottom panel back on. We hope this information is useful!
