Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
The drum support roller and axle, which includes the roller shaft and mounting clips, is used in dryers. This part holds the drum as it rotates on the support wheels. When the roller begins to wear out, it self lubricates, so no additional grease is needed. If your dryer is making odd noises then checking and replacing the rollers can be the solution to your problem. Make sure to unplug the dryer from the power source before beginning this replacement. Refer to the diagram and installation instructions provided by manufacturer. Sold individually.

Dryer's are pretty simple machines mechanically. Don't trash your noisy dryer. We bought ours in 2014 and it only recently started giving us issues. This is after 2 moves and being run daily for a family of 6. I'm glad I found partselect.com. They saved me a ton of money.

1. Dose part number dc97-16782a need two rollers, and do they come in this kit, or do I need to order two part dc97-16782a.? 2. The belt use a idler wheel to keep the belt tight? If so part # please.

Hi John, Thank you for the questions. The DC97-16782A Drum Support Roller & Axle comes with one Roller,shaft and Mounting Clips. Two of these kits are required for the appliance. The Idler assemble that creates the tension for the Belt is PartSelect Number PS11771601. Good luck with the repair!

What part would be needed to replace the back wheels? It seems like back wheel where the drum sits has a dent, and the dryer is making a lot of noise. The front wheels appear to be in very good shape.

How many rollers are there on a Samsung dryer
Hello Jackie, thank you for your question. Most dryers require four drum rollers, but you should always confirm using your dryer's model number. It is recommended to check and replace all drum support rollers at the same time to ensure proper drum rotation and because they often wear at the same rate. Good luck with your repair.
