Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This magnetic door plunger, also known as the magnet holder, is built for your washer. When you order this part, you will receive the plastic housing and a spring that goes with it. The magnetic door plunger attaches to the inner door panel of the washer. It holds the door open when the washer is not running, and allows the door and tub seal to dry. This prevents mold and mildew from building up. Occasionally, the plastic tabs on the housing can break, and when this happens the part will need to be replaced. You may also notice that your washer lid or door will not close; this can also be a sign of a damaged magnetic door plunger.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money

Exactly what I needed. Worked perfectly!
The magnetic door plunger I needed to keep the Kenmore washer's door slightly ajar when not in use so that the drum could dry out was exactly what I needed. I don't know how I broke the other one , but I did and I missed having it. The part was identical to the one I broke. And I put it in with ease. Although the washing machine worked fine without it, it was an accessory that I really light and wanted to replace . I appreciate the opportunity to get it replaced perfectly!

One Plunger latch broken off.
Line up the plunger with the existing slots in the door and push in.
NOTE: When testing it was evident that the magnet was not as strong as the original one. I would rate as one step up from useless.

De. Error part needed door sensor
For model number WM3170CW
Hi Berrie,
Thank you for your question. The DE error code is letting you know that the washing machine door was not able to lock. Here is some information from the LG website that may help you, "1.Press POWER to turn the washer off. 2. Unplug the washer from the power outlet or turn the circuit breaker to turn the unit off. 3. With the power disabled, press and hold the START/PAUSE button for 5 seconds. 4. Plug the washer back in, or turn the circuit breaker back on. 5. For more information about how to reset your specific model, please refer to the owner's manual." Here is a link to LG's website for more information, http://www.lg.com/us/support/product-help/CT10000010-1400508168566-de. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Can a defective magnetic plunger allow water to collect in the door and drain after the wash cycle
For model number Wm3875hvca
Hello Kim, thank you for your question. The magnetic door plunger attaches to the inner door panel of the washer. It holds the door open when the washer is not running, and allows the door and tub seal to dry. This prevents mold and mildew from building up. If you're getting water collected in the door, and the front drain it could be caused by this part. I would suggest replacing the plunger to see if that fixes the issue. I hope this helps!

The magnetic door plunger on my LG washer broke. Do you sell the part for this and how to i replace it? Also until i receive the part can i use my washer and just leave the door open to dry out?
For model number WM3875hCA
Hello Tami,
Thank you for your question. The magnetic door plunger for your model is under part PS3618292, and we would not recommend using the washer without the part, since it is part of the door assembly and could interrupt the wash in the middle of the cycle if the door isn't secured shut. Hope this helps!

Recently bought one from an online site. Installed easy. Magnet is not strong enough to hold door shut and now leaks water. Is there a better door magnet?
For model number AGM73610701
Hello Everett, Thank you for the question. The one ordered from the other company may not have been OEM. We suggest ordering the OEM part to have it replaced and operate properly. We hope this helps!
