Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This replacement pump filter, also known as a filter assembly, is a genuine OEM part for your washer or washer/dryer combo. Before beginning this repair, turn off the power and water supply to your washer. The filter assembly may need to be replaced because it is broken or is leaking water. To locate the filter assembly, pry open the small door on the front of the washer, using a flat-blade screwdriver. Unplug the drain hose next to the filter and drain the water into a bucket. Then unscrew the pump filter, and replace with your new one.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.
Keep searches simple. Use keywords, e.g. "leaking", "pump", "broken" or "fit".

The part was exactly what I needed, and it was an easy fix. Because it arrived fast, I could put it in and cancel the appointment with the repairman. My part cost $24, including shipping (I paid extra for faster delivery). The repairman was $85 for the first half hour. I'm happy!

Thanks. The description helped me to choose the correct part. The only thing that would have helped a little more would be to have a picture of the part. I was able to fix my washing machine without calling a repairman. It arrived quicker than expected. I can't thank you enough!!

The pump filter leaked after cleaning it out. Would work with teflon tape, but wanted to see if a new part would eliminate the need to wrap it every time.
Unscrewed the old part; screwed in the new part and said a quick prayer - LOL! The part worked great, but I wanted to mention how quickly I received the part! I would definitely order from this company again!

I know where the filter is located and i am following the instructions to unscrew the filter to clean it. I can not get it unscrewed. I have pulled the small hose with plug out and pulled the plug to empty in to a pan. That has emptied. How do i unscrew the filter? Help! Thanks
For model number wm1377hw
Hello Loretta, Thank you for your inquiry. It is supposed to twist out counter clockwise and then just pull out. Hope this helps!

Machine is vibrating and loud. Also found metal shards in pump filter housing any repair clues
For model number LG WM2487HWM
Hi Rich. Not sure but metal shards in pump filter is definitely a bad sign. Not sure what would have caused it though. You may have to check the drum bearings to see if they are intact. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
Adding to Loretta's question, I am unscrewing the filter and it's rotating but not coming out. Apparently it's stuck in there? What would be best way to get it out so I can get a new one in there? Is this part in stock?
For model number WM3997HWA
Hello Sam, Thank you for the question. Current availability is shown on the site beside the Add to Cart button. You may need to pull the filter as you turn to remove. If the filter can not be removed without damage to the Drain Pump Casing , the pump casing may also need to be replaced. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
My washer was holding water so I removed this and cleaned it and put it back and now it is leaking. I did make sure to secure it tightly
For model number WM2016CW
Hello Cassady, thank you for contacting us. Inspect the drain hose for any damages or loose connections, that can cause leaking. Inspect the drain pump for any damages or cracks that can leak water. If the drain pump, part number PS3579318, is leaking water you may need to replace it. We hope this helps.
