Why buy the real thing?

New part powered up neither the freezer nor the refrigerator. Went back to old part and atleast freezer still works. New part was no good from factory. The re

Freezer loads up with water from a drain hole on the back ceiling surface of the freezer and then freezes on the floor of the freezer.I have to defrost freezer every 30 days or more.
For model number TCX18PADBWW
Hi Sam,
Thank you for your question. If the water is not draining and it is freezing on the bottom of the freezer floor, the drain is likely clogged with food debris and you will need to clean it to see if this will help. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My fridge is freezing everything. I've already replaced the thermostat and nothing changed. The next fix on this list is the defrost timer, but under issues, it says it helps when the fridge is too warm.. is this really the next part i should try??
For model number CTX14CYBNLAA
Hello Sarah, Thank you for your inquiry. We also recommend checking the temperature control as well as the defrost timer. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. Hope this helps.
