Prompt and accurate order
I thought the part seemed a little expensive considering it was only a grease filter, but it arrived promptly, was packaged well, was an OEM part and therefore I had no issues with the fit. Overall happy and would use again whenever I need parts.

Too dirty to clean, bought new parts.
I had already removed the old grease filters. Unwrapped the new grease filters and popped into place. No tools were necessary.

Filters were missing from microwave.
The repair went well. It was really easy to replace the filters. We bought this house recently only to find out the previous owners threw all the filters for the microwave out including the two reusable grease filters. The grease filters were easy, just slipped them in. The charcoal filter required taking the top plastic vent off by r

Part arrived a few days later and I easily put it in.
I thought the cost of this part was out of line but all others sold it for about the same.

I have a GE microwave. It has 2 grease filters which are just metallic screens. Can the charcoal filters be substituted or is the charcoal filter in addition to the metallic screen?
For model number JVM1631BJ03
Hi Bill, Thank you for the question. The charcoal filters absorb old odors and prevents them from recirculating into future meal, so they would not take place of the grease filters. Hope this helps!

How often should the grease filters be replaced?
For model number PVM1790SR1SS
Hi Misty,
Thank you for your question. The grease filters in your microwave do not have to be replaced, but they should be cleaned monthly. Soak the filter in hot water and detergent, avoiding products with ammonia, and then lightly scrub it to remove debris. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Black knob to activate microwave use doesn't work anymore but when i remove it and just press or turn the silver part it slipped on to it works just fine. Do i need to replace any parts? Do i just need a new knob? Cleaning around the area helps and the knob also but not 100%. Removal of knob makes it work completely but don't really like the look of no knob!
For model number PVM1790DR1BB
Hi Cheryl,
Thank you for your question. The part of the knob that goes onto the shaft is probably stripped and will no longer allow you to turn the knob. If you would like to replace the knob, the part number listed under your model number for the knob is PS226855. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
