Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This agitator assembly is an authentic OEM part that is compatible with various models of washing machines. It consists of a central shaft with a series of fins attached to it. When the washer is operating, the agitator rotates back and forth, causing the clothes to rub against each other and against the agitator itself, which helps to loosen dirt and stains. If the agitator does not move or moves erratically while the washer is running, then this is a sign that it is faulty. You may also hear unusual noises such as grinding or rattling and notice that your clothes are not distributed evenly around the agitator during the wash cycle.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Part came fast
Came fast and easy to install. Insane how a $1200 washer has parts that commonly wear out in 1 year. Nothing against part select though. They did great at a great price. Update 10/17/2022 the part already broke just like the factory one. Same exact place.

Clicking Noise When Agitating
- Shut off power to the washer - Removed cap on top of agitator - First, I tried using a ratchet set to remove the bolt that is inside the agitator at the baseplate. Tub would spin when I tried this method, so I used an air impact with long extensions. One press of the impact and the bolt loosened. - Tied a pair of shoelac
... Read morees together and stuffed them inside the seam around the agitator baseplate. I put the shoelaces half way around the baseplate. Get it in the seam then with two hands, each with an end of the shoelace, pull up on the baseplate. Success!! - Installed the new agitator with base plate and then used the ratchet set to tighten the bolt. Didn’t want to take a chance on stripping the bolt inside the agitator with the air impact when tightening.

The spin cicle is extremly noisy. It appears to be a bad bearing. Can this bearing be replaced?
For model number MVWC565FW0
Hello Nick, thank you for your inquiry. According to our understanding, the issue is most probably with the bearing. The bearing comes along with the transmission, part number PS16220911. You may need to replace the transmission to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
Hi Chris, Thank you for reaching out. If the washer spins but will not switch to agitate, you may have a faulty actuator PS16221077. We hope this solves your problem!
