Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
On a washer, this part is used for circulating the water. On a dishwasher, it is used for draining the water during operation. If you notice your appliance is not draining properly, the circulation pump motor may need to be replaced. If this part is for your washer, you may notice your clothes are not cleaning properly. In your washer, to access this part you will need to remove the entire front panel. The circulation pump is 120 volts and 30 watts. The part is white in color and is sold individually. This OEM part comes directly from the manufacturer.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Disconnect washer - pull out and turn on it's right side. Remove bottom plate (2 screws). Water intake valve is attached to water line. Disconnect water line. ... Read moree pump. The part is composed of the pump and a metal mounting plate. They are connected by 4 screws. Remove the screws and pull out the back half of the pump. The front of the pump is attached to the washer frame by 2 screws. When removed you will notice an o-ring that forms the seal between the two halves. Remember this when installing the new pump. You will have to take the new pump apart because the whole part will not fit through the frame opening, thus the need to make sure the o-ring is properly seated. You can either install the mounting plate to the frame then attach the pump half or with half of the part in front of the frame and the other half behind the frame connect the two, then attach it to the frame. Reconnect incoming water line using teflon tape and a crescent wrench. Reconnect out-flow line with the pipe clamp and attach the power line. Since you have to take the new pump apart make sure the o-ring is properly seated as it will have a tendency to fall out. Reassemble the rest.

Drain pump needed to be replaced
Replaced drain pump following easy to follow video. Also replaced circulation pump at same time, as it is connected to common sump housing and only added a few more minutes to repairs.

My dishwasher fills, drains and heats the water. However, it makes a strange noise and is not washing the dishes well. I wonder how to tell if it is a pump or an arm that doesn't rotate fast enough, or?
For model number LDF7932ST
Hello Susan, Thank you for the question. We suggest spinning the arm to see if it spins freely and check the holes to make sure there is no blockage. If the arm is good, you may have a faulty Circulation Motor Assembly. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

My dishwasher suddenly sounded like a garbage disposal. It kept up each time I restarted. The next day I got the LE code. I also randomly saw water on the floor. A repair company told me it had to be motor with ball bearings because the bad bearings will make the horrible sound. Now I get LE each time and have to cancel cycle to drain. What part might I need? Thank you.
For model number LDS5540ST
Hello Tracie, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the error code LE indicates a motor error. There is an issue with the motor or the wiring harness between the motor and control board. We would recommend replacing the circulation pump motor, part number PS7785121, to fix the issue. We hope this helps!
After 4-5 washes the drum will retain a certain amount of water which can be removed by emptying the drain hose. I have replaced the drain pump but the issue persists. I checked the tub-to-pump drain hose and there are no obstructions. Previously I would drain/clean the pump filter quarterly. Do you have any additional suggestions?
For model number 79641022900
Hi JP, thank you for contacting us. Based on the description you have provided, as you have already replaced the drain pump and checked the drain hose, you may need to replace the drain filter, part number PS3522306. It traps lint and debris from drain water. You may need to replace it to fix the issue.
There are 2 motors one is solid while the other has a black cylinder. Solid white is located on the left as you face the clothes front loading washer. Which do I replace to resolve drain issue?

Hello Tom, thank you for contacting us. The part which you are looking for is the drain pump assembly, part number PS3579318. We hope this solves your problem!
The washer got a lot louder during the rinse and spin cycles. I took it apart and made sure none of the tubes were plugged.
When I checked the pumps, the one on the left as you're looking at the machine (K340), was full of water in the black casing behind the impeller. I'm guessing that the pumps are not supposed to have water down inside them?
For model number WM2501H*A
Hi Wayne, thank you for the great question. The drain pump does not have any water in it. it might be clogged or defective. Sometimes, small objects or articles of clothing can get caught in the drain pump. To determine if anything is blocking the pump, remove it and check for obstructions. If it is not blocked, then replace the drain pump, part number PS3579318. We hope this information helps!
