How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

.Latch broke
Latch broke. and it wouldn't run without locking. As a trucker's wife it's up to me to fix whatever breaks or do without. I took apart the door, noticed the model number, and ordered the part. it was easy., it was harder to go thru Thanksgiving and wash dishes by hand.

Appliance read out "err", would not go on
It would sometimes work, which led me to believe it was a switch. Looked on line and found the mail switch to go on was in the latch. I took it apart, 6 screws, wiggled the switch and it went on. So I found the door switch to be bad. It was very simple to change the switch.

My dishwasher will not light up or start after it is closed
For model number LFID2426TF5A
Hi Roger, thank you for your inquiry. First, you need to check the door latch, part number PS16218716, because the door latch makes sure that the door is securely shut. When it malfunctions, your dishwasher won’t work properly. If it is fine, then you may need to check the dishwasher user interface control button assembly, part number PS12585991. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Hi Brenda, thank you for reaching out. The Er code means that the touch control panel is shorting out on the dishwasher. We would suggest checking the wire harness first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the user control and display board, part number PS12585690. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
Will the door latch fit my dishwasher? I have an IKEA dishwasher #804621671A
For model number 804621671A
Hello Lynne, Thank you for writing. The Latch for this model is listed as PartSelect #: PS16218716. We hope this helps with the repair!

What is the part number and is it available, for the door to allow it to operate?
I am having problems locating it.
For model number FMB330RGC0
Hello Terry, thank you for getting in touch. You will need to check the door latch, part number PS17219598, and the door hinge, part number PS1765448. If they are broken, loose or damaged, replace them to fix the issue. We hope this helps.
Hello Billie, thank you for reaching out. The error code CD means that the dishwasher does not think the door is shut. If you have opened and closed the door firmly and you still get the error, your door latch assembly, part number PS16218716, needs to be replaced. There are switches built into the latch and they are not sending a good signal to the main control board to tell it that the door is shut, so even if the door is closing properly, the dishwasher will not run. We hope this information helps!
