Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This water pump assembly is a genuine OEM replacement part designed for use with washing machines. The pump is responsible for removing water from the washer during the drain portion of the cycle, ensuring that water is expelled efficiently so that the machine can complete its wash cycle. If your washing machine is failing to drain water properly, it could be due to a faulty or clogged pump. Replacing this part will restore the washer’s drainage function and help maintain the washing machine's performance.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Does this also fix the spin problems? My machine stopped draining and spinning. We've cleaned out the drain, but still won't spin during drain & spin. Is this part compatible with WFW5620HW0 or do I need something else?
For model number WFW5620HW0
Hello Phyllis, thank you for the question. The drain pump, part number PS16218041, is compatible with your model. It is only associated with draining the washer. If the washer is not draining properly, it can cause the washer to not enter the spin cycle. We hope this helps.

My washer is leaking from the bottom, I noticed it happens in the longer cycles.
Is it possible it is caused by clamp or seal on the water pump?
For model number WFW6620HW0
Hello Fitzroy, thank you for your question. Yes, we have a video that should be of some help for you to aid in inspecting the bottom for a loose Clamp PS11743008. You should check both of the Inlet valves PS17216730 and PS17216729. Lastly, while you are checking the hoses, and clamps, look to see if the Pump PS16218041 has damage. We hope this helps.
I can hear my pump running,, it drains but and I can hear it drain. But will not enter spin cycle. is there a sensor on the pump or does the whole pump need to be replaced?
For model number MHW6630HC3
Hello Bryan, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the issue is most probably with the control board. The control board comes along with the touchpad and control panel, part number PS12711864. You may need to replace it to solve the problem. We hope this helps!
What part controls the water flow into the washer? when it shuts off it is very quick and hammers the pipes?. I didn't have this problem until I bought this washer.
Thanks
For model number wfw6620hc2
Hello Jim, thank you for asking. We have researched and found that a common cause of water hammers can be fast-acting valves on washing machines. These valves suddenly stop the water that is moving along the pipes. A shockwave results, and this causes the pipes to shudder, causing the banging. The banging gets worse as the valves are worn. You may need to check the water inlet valve, part number PS12711564, to fix the issue. We hope this information helps!
