Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
The agitator coupler connects the agitator to the agitator shaft. Common symptoms of a damaged coupler include: a grinding sound during the wash cycle, the washer refusing to agitate or spin, or the washing machine shakes and moves during the wash cycle. Unplug the washer and pull the agitator straight up. Remove the bolt that holds the coupler onto the shaft of the transmission and pull the coupler off. Be sure to clean any dirt, rust, or residue off the transmission spline grooves, and make sure the grooves on the agitator splines are clean and undamaged. We recommend using the gasket and bolt that come with the replacement coupling.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Wife Said Fix The Washer - So I Got This
Easy ordering, easy installation. My agitator would turn freely in both directions (which it shouldn’t have) but would spin correctly at the end of the cycle. My issue was that the grooves in plastic agitator coupling stripped. The video to pull the agitator off and remove the coupling is on-line. It was an easy fix for around $15 with shipping.

The agtator wasn't working to clean the clothes.
Got a new part in the Agitator Coupling Kit, as the existing part was worm down. Simply removed and inserted the plastic bottom, used a mallet to pound it down and it was finished. By checking a video, I felt comfortable in doing the repair myself. A greater feelings was knowing I didn't have to go out and buy a new clothes washer. Thanks

Washer would fill, spin and drain, but was not agitating the clothes.
(As I am an older female, I used YouTube to review the repair before trying it. YouTube scared me, the actual repair was much easier) I removed the agitator from the washer which revealed the agitator assembly held in place by a bolt. After removing the bolt, the assembly was lifted off the spindle. I cleaned the grime off the agitator, t

I replaced the bolt to the top of the assembly. tightened it down, then slid the agitator over the assembly, matching grooves to teeth until that also slid into place with a click. It honestly took me longer to clean the grime than to change the part. Agitator is working perfectly

I have pulled up on the agitator but it will not com off? Is the agitator 2 pieces ? I took the softener cap off . I can hold the bottom of the agitator and rotate the top clockwise and counter clockwise. But still cannot pull the agitator off. Any suggestions.
For model number GTWN3000M2WS
Hi Walter,
Thank you for your inquiry. The agitator comes in one piece. There is video on our website about the agitator that you may reference. You will find it on our website under part number PS11736866. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
Washer will do everything but agitate, help, can i fix it?
For model number WBSR3140DAWW
Hi Margaret,
Thank you for your question. Yes you should be able to fix it. I would suggest looking at this part, your agitator coupling to see if it has worn down. If that part is fine, then you may have to look into replacing your entire agitator. Good luck with your repair.

Agitates normally and pumps water out, but will not spin. Motor does not turn on to spin even though all the water pumps out. Tested continuity of water level switch and the no contact closed and the nc contact opened.
For model number WJSR2070B2WW
Hello TJ, thank you for inquiring. For this symptom you will want to replace either the V-Style Drive Belt part PS270803, the Agitator Coupling Kit part PS1517844, or the Drain Pump and Motor Assembly part PS8768445. We hope this helps.

Not agitating, pulled the top off the agitator, does not have a bolt to take off, has 4 little things
For model number s2100e1ww
Hi Earl,
Thank you for your question. If the washer is not agitating, There are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the agitator coupling kit, the drive belt, the agitator, the inner tub base hub and the hub nut. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Why does agitater keep coming off
For model number WDSR2080D0WW
Hello Carroll, Thank you for your inquiry. It could be an issue with the agitator coupling, or one of the tabs on the bottom of the agitator that holds it to the coupling could be broken off. Check the agitator first and if one of the tabs is broken, then you would need to replace the agitator. Hope this helps!

Your site states that wh49x10042 will replace 175d2846p001 but another site says it won't which is correct? Q&a from other site is below and they were selling the same part.

Hi Lanc. This part as showing as the replacement for 175d2846p001 and we get this information from the manufacturer directly. I would double check for the correct part based on your model number just to be sure. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.

The agitator doesn't agitate. The top agitator spins one direction, and locks in the other direction, which is the correct action. The lower agitator spins freely by hand. I have pulled the coupler. It also spins freely by hand. The drive shaft doesn't spin by hand, but the splines on the coupler seem to be intact. Should I go ahead and replace the coupler? thanks.
For model number WCSR4170DAWW
Hello Steve, Thank you for the question. I would suggest replacing the coupler but also checking the Hub Nut, Part Number: PS271505, Tub Bearing Washer Part Number: PS271509, Part Number: PS1766022, Split Ring, Part Number: PS1766022 and the Tub Seal, Part Number: PS4704237. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
