Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This is a manufacturer-built pressure sensor for dishwashers. This pressure sensor, also known as a pressure switch, is designed to monitor the water pressure, communicate with the control board of the dishwasher, and accurately calculate the necessary amount of water for the washing cycle. If this pressure sensor is bad or not working properly, it will cause over and underfilling of your dishwasher, as well as excessive noise while in operation. To replace this pressure sensor, you will need a screwdriver and wrench to gain access and remove this part, and further disassembly of your dishwasher may be required. This sensor is sold individually and does not come with any other parts.

Spare
Haven’t used part yet because I bought it to be a spare. Pressure sensor gets plugged with gooey junk so will do a swap out if washer stops working with present sensor.
It’s an easy fix and accessible at front of washer.

Works great but might have been unnecessary
Removing the old part (which is easy to do without having to move the dishwasher), there was lots of gunk and stuff in the part. I replaced it because I had the part but kept the old one after cleaning it - likely that the part is fine, just the design of the dishwasher is poor allowing junk to build up (and I do regular vinegar rinses of the dishwasher).

H2O error code. Not filling with water randomly
Turned off power from breaker at electric panel. Removed kick plate and mounting screws. Disconnected supply line from hot water valve after shutting off. Disconnected flex hose drain. Pulled dishwasher out. Used channel locks to undo water valve supply hose. Used nut driver to remove water valve bracket and disconnected sensor plug in .
... Read moreInstallation was opposite of removal. Fill sensor was a twist and turn and a disconnect from sensor plug. I believe my problem was just the fill sensor but decided to do both parts just in case it was the water fill valve so I didn’t have to pull the appliance out again. Parts were cheap enough to do both.
Dishwasher would not fill with water and would shut off
I found it online! There were step by step instructions that were easy to understand. I have never had to do anything like this in my life, only recently had to start doing everything around the house myself due to husband's illness. The repairman came out, charged me $100 to determine what the dishwasher needed & left me with the p

I ordered the part from the website at 1/2 the price that the other place charges and found it on line. With the step by step instructions and the online page, I successfully installed it MYSELF. Saved me a ton of $$. I LOVE the website Thank You!!!!

Washer indicates FED code and quits.
Will bad pressure switch cause this.
I don’t see a float switch in this model.
Drain hose is clear and hi looped.
Thanks!!
For model number gdt530pgp5bb
Hi Coley, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our research, the FED code, or flood error detection code, indicates a high water level in the dishwasher. To solve this issue, you may first need to make sure the filter is clean. If that is not causing the issue, then the pressure sensor, part number PS12741258, is most likely faulty and may need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

Hello. Initially, my dishwasher wouldn't fill, so I ordered a new water valve on here and replaced it, and it worked like normal. Now, it fills with water and won't advance the cycle and the water cycle has a blinking light. It drains fine. My plumber won't come and look at it, so I'm on my own. Any thoughts? Thank you for your help!

Our dishwasher would not fill when we started it. I checked the fill valve and it is working fine. I was looking for the float switch and could not find one. I found the pressure switch. There are no error messages. I can get the dishwasher started if I would prime it by pouring water into the filter. Where did I look for the problem?
