Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This is a water inlet valve made for washing machines. This part is used to control the flow of water into the fill hose of the washing machine, to allow the washer to fill up with water. If your washing machine is not filling up with water properly, or if you are noticing leaks underneath your washing machine, the inlet valve has likely failed and you will likely need to replace it. This OEM inlet valve features two different inlets for hot and cold water but does not come with any other parts or accessories for installation. To replace this water inlet valve, you will need tools such as a screwdriver or wrench to gain access to it and remove it.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

The part solved the problem
The washing machine wasn't getting enough water, very little. I went on Parts Select put in the problem and this part came up as the problem 95% of the times. Easy to replace once you figure it out. The Water Inlet Valve I took out had cracks.

Cold water stopped working
Pried open the top of the machine. Used a putty knife. This was the hardest part of the job. Take your time. Took off upper plate of the back of machine, to free the value. Unplugged the power wires from the old valve and unscrewed it. Put in the new one and reversed processes. Easy peezy. Great deal on part. Saved hundreds of dollars doi

Washer not filling then timing out before load done
Turned off power and water. Removed hoses/Unplugged power. Removed screws to open and access control panel. I also added screen washers to both hoses as I suspect i

I have Whirlpool cabrio washer model number wtw7300dw1 cannot get water to come in can it's be the water inlet valve
For model number WTW7300DW1
Hi Leon, thank you for your question. Yes, you should take a look at your water inlet valve. The valve can be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 500 - 1500 ohms of resistance. Good luck with your repair.

Washer seems to go through all the correct sequences until it try’s to fill with water. You can hear it trying to get water in but it’s very faint water running sound and it clicks randomly in the area of the water fill valve solenoids. Is the water fill solenoid my problem or is it the circuit board?
For model number 110.26132411
Hi Charles, the water inlet valve is the most likely fix. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

When the washer begins a normal cycle it sounds like there is water hammer. A plumber came and installed two pressure valves to reduce the noise but it still continues to make a banging noise. When the normal wash setting is on cold, the machine calls for Hot water and while holding the pipe i can feel it making a banging sound every few seconds. Would replacing the inlet valve solve the problem? Thank you!
For model number WTW7300DW1
Hello AJ, Thank you for your inquiry. If the washer is already set to be getting only between 30-55 PSI for water pressure (which is the usual cause of water hammer), we would recommend checking the water inlet valve, the water pressure hose and the control board as this controls the flow of water coming into the washer. Check the hose and test the water inlet valve with a multimeter, and if replacing the valve does not fix the issue, you may have a faulty control board. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
My inlet valve strainers are plugged with filter sand. Can I remove strainers and clean them. The strainers are not easily removed - at least in my case.
For model number WTW8127LC
Hello David, thank you for contacting us. Yes, you can remove these filters from the inlet valve using needle nose pliers and insert them again after cleaning them. We hope this helps.

For model number whirlpool Cabrio washer water inlet module
Hi Richard,
Thank you for your question. Before we can provide you with information on the water inlet valve, we will need the model number from your washer. We have included a link from our website that you may use to find the model number on it. If you could resubmit your question with this information, we would be happy to help you. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!
hello,
A small amount of water is coming out while filling the washer, sometimes I get a faulty code F8E1 (no water detected), sometimes it works fine. Could it be the water valve?
Thank you
For model number wtw7120hw
Hello Mario, thank you for contacting us. If F8 E1 or LF appears in the display, it means the washer is taking too long to fill. It indicates that there is some problem with the water supply going to the washer. Please make sure both inlet hoses are properly connected and both hot and cold water supplies are turned on. If this does not help, the water inlet valve, part number PS12349461, is the most probable culprit. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!
