Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This is a door bellow, also known as a door seal gasket, made for various models of washing machine. This bellow is designed to seal the inner drum of the washer from the outside of the washing machine and its internal components. If your washer is currently experiencing issues with leaking, this gasket is likely worn out and in need of replacing. This gasket is made of gray rubber and is sold as an individual OEM part and is sold separately from its necessary clamp.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

The repair was fairly simple. It just took a little while to get tge part on the right way because of the tight squeeze. I the end it worked great. The part was definitely what was needed.
The door boot seal was leaking because it was damaged, but when I was able to get it on right, it worked like a charm.

Why do i keep getting black mold/mildew buildup in the rubber seal? It smells bad and is making my laundry smell too. How can i avoid this other than continuing to replace it?
For model number WFW92HEFCO
Hello Bridget, thank you for inquiring. The correct replacement Bellow for your unit is part PS12348225. To prevent this from occurring though, you could wipe around the door and bellow with an old towel after each use to keep moisture buildup and mold growth from occurring. You could also run a hot water cycle with a cup of bleach once a month or so. We hope you find this helpful.

Are there parts that frequently need to be replaced with the bellow?
For model number wfw95hedw0
Hello Susan, Thank you for the question. We also suggest replacing the clamp that holds the bellow, PartSelect Number PS12349413. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!
When you open the door the grey rubber seal has mold buildup and it smells we have cleaned it but it keeps coming back. If we replace it is it just going to happen again. It seems like a problem with this model. Is there a fix for this problem.
For model number WFW72HEDW0
Hello and thank you for writing.
No, there is no fix, the only thing you can do clean it regularly and every so often replace the bellow.
Clean Gasket: Use a rag or towel to clean the rubber door gasket on a front-loading washer with either hot soapy water or a spritz of mildew cleaner. Make sure to wipe underneath and around it as well. Be prepared for some slime and gunk, and possibly a stray sock or two. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Water does not drain out of boot seal
