Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
The bake element is the heating element that is found at the bottom of the oven and is responsible for 90 percent of the bake heating. This spade style bake element is 16 inches wide, and connects with push-on wire terminals. It has a terminal depth of three inches and a total element length of nineteen inches. You may need to replace the heating element if your oven produces little to no heat, the oven will not heat evenly, or the element will not heat at all. This element comes with an instructions sheet and is intended for use with electric ovens. To see if this part will fit your oven, please check the list of compatible brands below.

Range element from PartSelect
First, I’m not Rowen, who was the person that purchased our house. Our oven element shorted out a couple of days prior to closing and we ordered the part from PartSelect thinking it would be delivered after closing, so we put the delivery address in Rowan’s name. To our surprise, the part was delivered within two days and we were able to install before closing!
PartSelect really delivered!!

Bake element was burnt out
Shut off electricity to oven. Remove existing screws attaching element to back wall of oven. Use pliers to pull off wire connectors. To install the new element, reverse these steps. It's that simple.

Wall Oven elements (Bake & Broil)
Followed example your provided- excellent guidance.
The oven heating element burned out and would no longer heat.
It was very simple. First thing I did was to go online to youtube and type in the kind of repair I intended to do. There were several short videos showing you how to do the replacement. It was easy and took about 30 to 45 minutes. First thing is shut off the power to the oven. ( Very important). You then need to take out two screws that ho

Slowly work the element forward until you see the fasteners on the wires ( two wires).Disconnect the fasteners and throw the old element out and put the new one in the oven.Connect the element, push everything back into the hole and screw the element to the back wall. You're done ! I had two wall ovens to fix.

Lower bake element would not heat.
Removed two screws. Gently pulled old element away from back of oven, exposing two wires. Disconnected the element from wires by pulling the ends apart with hands. Reconnected the wires with new element. LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES! Saved about a hundred bucks!. (Demo on You Tube.)

bake element in lower oven had burned out
I made the mistake of thinking that, if the oven was off, there would be no voltage to the heating element. Wrong! I removed the element, wearing rubber gloves just for safety, and had no problem. But when I put the wiring back on the new element and tried to slide it into the hole at the back of the oven, one of the wires brushed the

My oven bake element is 16"wide x 14 7/8"deep (not including the end that plugs in). The bake element on your site appears to be 16" x 16". It might be somewhat of a tight fit. Will it work with my Magic Chef model no. 9522wuv. Double checking before i make the order.

Replaced element still no heat.
For model number 97F. 4EXWW
Hello Warren, Thank you for the question. If the new element did not fix the issue, and all wiring of good the oven control would be defective. I looked up the part and it is listed as No Longer Available/Discontinued. There is no part substitutions listed. My suggestion here would be to call the manufacturer and see if they can provide you with a substitution for these part numbers. Hope this helps!

I have a 15 to 20 year old stove the model number is gone. I have a picture of the bottom heating element how do i send the pucture?
For model number Unknown stove is 20 years old
Hi Tommie, Thank you for the question. You can email us a customerservice@partselect.com. We will not be able to guarantee we can locate the correct element without the model number but we will be happy to try. Please also provide as much information on the element as you can, such as measurements of the over all element and the distance between the prongs where it plugs into the appliance. Also if the prongs are screw on or push on.The more pictures the better. Hope this helps!

Serial # is 26476620jn how do i know what series i have in order to order the correct heating element, lower oven?
For model number Maytag CWE5800ACE
Hi Jim,
Thank you for your question. Manufacturers often make changes to models, which can sometimes result in different parts being used for your model. For instance, a motor may be changed mid-year, which could mean that a different wiring harness has to be used. When a series number is shown on your appliance, you will need to identify what series your appliance belongs to. The series is the first few characters of your serial number. When a given part in a model's part list has a series number, it means that the part is the right one for all models whose serial number starts with that series number, or a higher series number. If there is an exception to this rule, another part will be listed for you. To put it another way, you should select the part with the highest series number which is less than your entire serial number. So in your case it would be series 18. The part number for the bake element would be PS11757472. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I have a Maytag electric oven and stove. My oven element blow. I replaced it and my oven sencer went. I replaced that aswell. My oven still will not reach 400 hundred. Everey thing else works great . Boiler topof the stove clock etc. A local repairman said it could be the mother board. I would have thought nothing would work if that was the case.
For model number MER8674 AW
Hello Madeline thank you for your question. Unfortunately, if the sensor and the element were replaced and you're still not able to get the temperature regulated the issue would be the electronic control board part number PS11756979. I hope this helps!
