You can also test the timer as well with a Multi Meter to be sure.Hope this helps!

You will need to check the dryer cycling thermostat, the thermal fuse, the thermal cut-off kit, the high limit thermostat, the timer and the heating element. You will need to test the parts with a multimeter. Hello Phyllis, Thank you for the question. The Manufacturer Part Number WP8299779 is showing to be the correct Timer Switch for this model. This timer shows a Brown and Blue Wire. This timer is showing to be an updated part and may look different from the original Timer. We are not showing a box attached to the screw. You will want to double check your wiring as some wire may attach at the same terminal via a gang terminal. We hope this helps!

Unfortunately, we do not have a video, but here are some general instructions that will help you check the dryer timer: To check the timer model and see if the motor is open or not, you need to follow the wires. Disconnect one of the wires from the tiler motor and set your multimeter to read higher than 10,000 ohms. Take a reading between the two terminals on the two wires coming from the timer motor, it should be between 5000 and 10000 ohms, if the reading is infinite, the timer motor is bad.
