My dryer will run but not heat. Check all logical parts and the are good could it be the timer? The timer allows dryer to start in the off position.
For model number NED4500VQ2
Hi Kurt , Thank you for the question.Yes, it sounds like the timer is defective. This dryer timer is used to control the unit's cycles by regulating the length of time that power is directed to each setting and the heating element. You can also test the timer as well with a Multi Meter to be sure.Hope this helps!

When I set the timer to dry on timed dry it goes past the off section to more dry and less dry all the way to fluff dry. Can you help?
For model number 11069522800
Hello Dan,
Thanks for your question. You will want to test the push-to-start switch for continuity with a multimeter, along with the timer. Replace either that do not show continuity.
I hope this helps.
My dryer timer was found to be defective. Upon replacement, the dryer worked for about 20sec and then was dead again. My guess is something to or from the timer is causing this defect. Any idea what could cause this?Thank you
For model number MEDC200XW3
Hello An, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the Thermostat, Internal-Bias PartSelect Number: PS11741405, and push to start switch, PartSelect Number: PS11741680. I hope this helps!

My dryer works fine, everything is dry, but my timer does not move, so the cycle never stops because it never gets to zero. I have to set a separate timer to know when to remove the clothes. Thanks in advance.
For model number 110.64622300
Hi Gustavo,
Thank you for your question. If the timer will not advance, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the dryer cycling thermostat, the thermal fuse, the thermal cut-off kit, the high limit thermostat, the timer and the heating element. You will need to test the parts with a multimeter. Here is a link to one of our videos on YouTube that you may use as a general reference on how to use one, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWC44fHn0As. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

I am replacing the timer mechanism because dryer continues to run and will not turn off until you open the door. In taking the back off there are several colored wires (black, blue, purple, orange, red, white). When I put the model number in your site the timer looks entirely different. A parts store told me the p/n is wp8299779. Does that part have the various colored wires? Also, what is the little 1-inch square black box attached to the left timer screw.
For model number 11068422700
Hello Phyllis, Thank you for the question. The Manufacturer Part Number WP8299779 is showing to be the correct Timer Switch for this model. This timer shows a Brown and Blue Wire. This timer is showing to be an updated part and may look different from the original Timer. We are not showing a box attached to the screw. You will want to double check your wiring as some wire may attach at the same terminal via a gang terminal. We hope this helps!

Hi Joe. Dryer won't start. When I press the start button it beeps to signal end of a dryer cycle with no other action. I have checked all thermal fuses, the start switch and the door switch and all are operational. There is not much else to check except for the " Intermittent Duty Switch", that looks like a relay, and the timer. Please advise. thx
For model number MEDC200XW3
Hi Derrick,
Thank you for your question. If you have checked the fuses and the switches, there are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the motor, the terminal block and timer. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
I just replaced my Dryer Timer and I tried to run a load in my dryer. The dryer heats and sounds like it is tumbling but the cycle is not tumbling enough to collect lint in my lint trap. The clothes in the dryer are hot but not dry at the end of the cycle. It seems like the cool down part of the cycle isn’t working. Can you please help me?
For model number MEDC200XW3
Hi Emilie, thank you for reaching out. Ensure that the dryer timer has been installed properly. If the issue persists, you may need to replace the cycling thermostat, part number PS11741405. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Dryer motor runs nonstop doesn’t turn off and no heater . Please help
Thankful a lot
Hello Samuel, thank you for writing. Replacing either the Thermal Fuse part PS11741460, the Thermal Cut-Off Kit part PS334299, or the Internal-Bias Thermostat part PS11741405 for your model may fix both of the issues. We hope this helps.

Is there a video showing how to check the timer # WP8299779?
For model number medc400vw0
Hi Carl, thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, we do not have a video, but here are some general instructions that will help you check the dryer timer: To check the timer model and see if the motor is open or not, you need to follow the wires. Disconnect one of the wires from the tiler motor and set your multimeter to read higher than 10,000 ohms. Take a reading between the two terminals on the two wires coming from the timer motor, it should be between 5000 and 10000 ohms, if the reading is infinite, the timer motor is bad. We hope this helps!
