Frig would go warm occasionally
I removed the screw that held the control module in place, then unscrewed & unplugged the circuit board and plugged the new one in. At that point I realized that the mounting bosses on the new piece were a quarter inch longer than the old one and the screws were now too short. The old bosses couldn't be adapted without wrecking them. Luck
... Read moreily I found screws out in the garage that worked. The screws that came with the new piece were the same as the old ones. Also they were packed loose with the circuit board and one was stuck between the protective cover and the pins. Thankfully it fell out on its own before I plugged the refrigerator in.

How does the control box remove from the fridge to install the adaptive defrost controller? I believe there are clips but cannot access them.
For model number Ktrc22kmwh00
Hi EC. We don't have instructions for this exact model however there may actually be screws securing the control panel. You should then only need to pull it forward to release. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

fig is frezzing up top and bottom. help with where to start
For model number ET1CHEXVT03
Hi Lee, thank you for getting in touch. Air vents help circulate the cold air in refrigerators. They also ensure the temperature inside is consistent. If food is blocking a vent, it can prevent air from reaching other parts of the unit, while direct exposure to the cold air source can result in a refrigerator freezing food. The cold air inside your appliance needs to be properly isolated from the outside temperature. Check to see if there are gaps between the door seal and the cabinet. If you find any, adjust the door seal by gently pulling away from the door using your fingers. If this does not help, you will need to replace the defrost heater, part number PS11748961. Thanks again for your great question!
Freezer does not go into defrost, causing ice build up and over the course of 3 months creating a warm freezer section. What part would be needed to remedy?
For model number Kenmore 10663982301
Hello John, thank you for contacting us. It appears that your refrigerator may have a damaged defrost thermostat, part number PS11742474. You may need to replace the defrost thermostat to fix this issue. We hope this solves your problem!
