Water valve connection problem
Received valve assembly for icemaker promptly. Connection to house water supply appeared to be defective because unable to insert water valve connector into water valve receptacle on new part. New valve connector was cone shaped inside which did not connect with the standard valve connector on my water supply. Had to go to Home Depot to purchase alternative connector parts for this water valve.

I need the water line for this model as well as the valve. I don’t see the part number.
For model number LFC2477/OST
Hello Julie, thank you for writing. For your model this Water Valve Assembly is the correct replacement. The Water Line comes on the Valve.

Tube on back of refrigerator leaking around top part that goes into refrigerator. Can you buy just the tube upper part not the whole valve assembly?

I've replaced this part 2 times... it works for a few days - 2-4 and then stops again... no water getting in... what else could be the issue?

Hi Eugene, thank you for the question. As you have already replaced the water inlet valve two times, we would suggest checking the water line for clogging first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the service PCB assembly, part number PS12738977. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
Ice maker stopped working after city temporarily shut water supply to neighborhood. Have water supply under pressure through filter and into refrigerator. Tried shutting Ice maker off for 20 minutes then restarted, but still no water going into ice cube trays.

Hi Gary,
Thank you for your question. If your ice maker is not filling with water and the water pressure is at least 20 psi, check the water inlet valve for continuity with a multimeter. Set your multimeter to the Rx1 setting and touch the terminals with the probes. You are testing for continuity and should receive a reading of 200 to 500 ohms. If you receive any other reading, you will need a replacement water inlet valve. If the water inlet valve tests okay, but the ice maker will not fill with water, you will need to replace the water inlet valve.
