Dryer does not dry clothes, have to keep turning it on to dry throws heat can feel it warm inside,

Hello, thank you for your question. When you are experiencing an issue like this there are a few parts that you will have to test to determine what is causing your issue. For all of these parts you can test them with a multi meter. First you will have to test your thermostats and thermal fuses to make sure they are all functioning correctly. After that you will want to test parts in this order, your m series coils, igniter itself, or your radiant flame sensor. You may also want to check your regulator just to make sure that part is functioning properly as well. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The dryer shows pf then shuts off after about a minute of running. Why?

Hello Niya, Thank you for your inquiry. The PF error code indicates a power failure during the dryer's cycle. If there was a recent power outage, turn off the household circuit breaker for the dryer for one minute, then turn it back on. If the error still persists and the socket the dryer is plugged into is working, we recommend checking the power cord, the wiring harness and the control board. Good luck with your repair.
Dryer does not heat at all. Drum turns just fine. It worked fine when we left on vacay but did not work upon our return. We had a nearby lightning strike while we were away and everything else in house is fine suggestions on where to start

Hi Al, thank you for reaching out. Based on the information you have provided, it seems that there is an issue with the thermal fuse, part number PS11766766. It prevents fire by detecting when the dryer drum is overheating and tripping in response. We hope this will resolve your problem!
Pryed dryer top open and opened front door. . Unscrewed the 2 retaining screws. Pulled old switch from the wiring harness. Put new switch in place and replaced the retaining screws. PartSelect showed seven different possibilities why the dryer wouldn't heat. I removed the two screws to remove the bottom panel and turned the dryer on and noticed that the heating element that ignites the gas was working fine. This meant that it was not getting gas so it could be the gas valve or one of the two gas valve coils which are
... Read more located on top of the gas valve. I borrowed my neighbor"s ohm meter and touched the two probes on the coils terminals to check for continuity and found that one of the coils read zero. I then took both of the coils out by removing two screws and tested each coil again. One coil read 500-850 and the other read zero. This meant that it was no good so I called for the part and received it in three days. I reassembled the parts and turned the dryer on and it fired up after a few seconds. It works as good as new. The part plus shipping was less than $30. My repairman would have charged me $150-$200. While the dryer was apart I gave it a good cleaning with a vacuum and a toothbrush in delicate areas. I also removed and cleaned the lint trap housing by removing two nuts. I didn't know much about gas dryers, but thanks to PartSelect I easily fixed it myself.
