The foot pedal on your trash compactor is located at the bottom of the unit. This part, when compressed, allows the container drawer on the trash compactor to slide in and out. If your current foot pedal is damaged, or the container drawer will not open, you may need to replace the foot pedal. This part is black in color and is made of plastic. This foot pedal is approximately 15 inches long and 2 inches wide. To complete this repair, you will need a 1/4-inch nut driver. Many of our customers have rated this repair as easy.
