how to remove the led bub and replace by new one

Hi Dale, thank you for reaching out. To replace the LED, part number PS16731134, you may follow the steps below:
1. Unplug the refrigerator or disconnect the power.
2. Remove the light cover.
3. Remove the LED and replace it with one of the same size, shape, and wattage.
4. Reinstall the light cover.
5. Plug in the refrigerator or reconnect the power.

I have a Maytag side-by-side refrigerator, model MSS25N4MKZ01, that has a burnt-out freezer light. I need a replacement light and directions on how to remove the light cover/module - I tried to pry it loose because I see no fasteners folding it in place. Before I break something, I wanted to get instructions. A happy wife is a happy life; if I break it, she won't be happy!

Hello Russell, thank you for your question. The Light Module is PS16731134. Remove the light housing using the putty knife and then you can access the LED light module to replace it. We hope this helps.

Hi Jennifer, thank you for reaching out. The upper door shelf bin for the fresh food section is part number PS12348327, and the bottom shelf bar is part number PS11740306. The door shelf trims for the freezer section are part number PS11740304. They are sold individually. We hope that helps!
Does this model have a separate thermostat or is it integrated into the control board?

I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
I was clening my uprght freezer and noticed that it was preped for an icemaker. I first went to the Whilpool website and could not find my part as my freezer was a 2008 model.
I saw PartSelect on the search page and went to thier site. I put in my modle number of the Whilpool Ice maker kit that was on the back of my freeze
... Read morer. PartSelect had the part in stock and approx $18.00 less than the other kits listed on the Whilpool site (that did not match my kit number). I orderd the kit on Sunday and it arrived on Wednesday. It took less than and hour to install. Every part I needed was included. The following day I installed the water line and now I have an extra icemaker.
An easy job for smaller hands. Removed the two bolts holding the light cover. Removed two electrical connections from the old switch by pinching the retaining clip,removed the switch, snapped in the new one and re-attached the connectors.
