How to remove the disposal
For model number KWS200
Hi Bob, thank you for your question! These are the general instructions to help you remove the disposal: You will need a 3/8-inch nut driver, a flathead screwdriver, a small flathead screwdriver, and 3/16-inch sockets before you begin the disassembly. Unplug the unit's power cord if there is not enough slack to uninstall the garbage disposal. Detach the dishwasher's drain hose from the disposer's inlet port, if applicable. To uninstall the disposer, use the 3/8-inch nut driver or the flathead screwdriver to unthread the two mounting screws securing the tailpipe flange to the disposer. Now rotate the lock ring counter-clockwise to release the disposer from the sink. Use the flathead screwdriver to loosen the three screws securing the mounting bracket to the strainer flange. With the screws loosened, lift the bracket up and use the screwdriver to pry the mounting ring free of the strainer flange. This will release the bracket components, and you will be able to lift out the strainer flange as well. We hope this is helpful!
