What does err 2 mean
For model number KCM534OB0
ERR 2 may indicate an internal error with the computer of the warming plate. The good news is that it may be cleared by a simple reset of the coffee maker. This means unplugging the unit and plugging it back in. When powered back on, select a brew function to see if the error reappears. If it does reappear we would recommend contacting the manufacturer as it could be covered under warranty, and the heating plate is not a replaceable item. I hope this helps.

I took the new one out of the box, washed it with warm soapy water and then used it to fill the coffee maker with fresh water...I'm just glad that we were able to find the "Empire Red" carafe and on this site it was a breeze.
Just ordered a new Carafe Assembly for our KitchenAid Coffee Maker. Ordered online, Good price, Fast shipping, Well packaged & Great service. I would buy again from Part Select. Thank You, Jim Stafford
