I got this refrigerator from my neighbor. He told me it needed work and that the freezer wasn't keeping the food frozen, but the refrigerator seemed to work okay. So, seeing how it was sitting in his garage for a while, I cleaned it up and got the dust that was built up underneath removed. Then I filled a glass of water and put it in the freezer and turned the unit on. The next day, the water was frozen solid. But after I filled the it up with food, the food started to get soft and ice cream melted. Also, the fridge was running non stop, so I unplugged the unit until I could figure out what was wrong with it. So I replaced the Evaporator Fan. since that seemed to be part of the problem, but once I got everything back together and turned it on...nothing. No light , sounds or anything. What else could be the issue here?

Hi Ron, thank you for the question. First, you may need to make sure that you have made the connections properly after installing the evaporator fan. If that is not causing the issue, then you may need to check the main control board, part number PS12744126, as it is most likely faulty and may need to be replaced. We hope this is helpful!

Freezer Fan
I removed two srews from the back panel inside fthe reezer compartment and the two that hold the air manifold/baffle? and pulled the baffle out. Then, I removed the two srews that hold the front part of the fan bracket behind the baffle and the back panel came out easily. Two more screws and one quick connect plug attached to the fan and I was done with removal. Insallation was even quicker, I slid the original fan right off the old motor and slid it on the new motor's shaft. Piece of cake! Thanks Partselect.

dropped something on the light switch and it broke off
we just pried out the old switch and pulled it out the rest of the way with a pair of needle nose pliers. Pulled off the wires on the broken switch and reattached to the new one and just slid/clicked it back into the hole.
