Dryer won't start but internal light is on
For model number GTMX180ED2WW
Hello David, thank you for contacting us. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest replacing the door switch, part number PS2344321, to solve the problem. It prohibits the dryer from operating when the door is open. Glad to be of assistance!

Dryer runs for a few minutes then stops, after a few minutes it can be restarted. I have checked the vent and it is clear, disconnected dryer from vent and ran a test and it stopped again. Dryer runs non-stop on air fluff mode, but turn it to low heat and it stops after just a few minutes.
Similar situation last year and had to replace the timer switch.
For model number GTMX180ED2WW
Hi Robert,
Thank you for your question. If the dryer works well on one cycle, but not another, the timer may be malfunctioning. You will need to test it for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting to see if it is operating normally. Before removing and checking the timer, unplug the washer from the electrical outlet. You should receive a reading of zero or nearly zero. if you receive any other reading, you will need a replacement timer. We hope this helps!

Due to over loading of the dryer the drum ruined the slides and was making a bad noise due to plastic rubbing plastic
It was pretty easy. After already taking apart the dryer to install a new belt I knew exactly my plan of action. I removed the two screws that hold the top panel of the dryer to the front panel. I then removed the top panel and removed the screws that hold the front to each side panel. I than pulled the front away from the cabinet and

drum. I put the new slides in place and installed a new felt strip. I put it back together and that was that. Very easy.
