broken door latch
Removed the top face plate, approx 7 Phillips screws, however, the latch mechanism is held by 2 Torx screws, the 4 electrical spade connectors were not that easy to pull off, but connected easily to the new part.
Ordered a Black latch, received a white one!
Oh well, it's easy to see it.
Checked the existing gasket, servicable, so kept the new one in reserve.
MYSTERY, the one & only paper in the package referred to a slinger washer install on a fan motor for a REFRIGERATOR!!

Dishwasher would not start
I thought my dishwasher was broken and I actually ordered another dishwasher. I went to the GE website and my model number came up not found. I did some further research and found partselect. My model number came up right away. For the fraction of the price of a new unit I decided I would give it a shot. I got next day delivery and installed the part right away. Step 1: turn the power off 2. Open the dishwasher and take the screws out on the inside of the unit. 3. The front handle area comes off. 4. Take a picture of how the unit is wired (I wired it backwards at 1st and blew the breaker) 5. Use needle nose pliers and take off the four wires. 6. Put the new handle on the same way the old one came out 7. Put all screws back. That's it.

The locking mechanism broke so the door handle was loose and didn't work.
Took off panel to get to where the door handle is. Unplugged the old broken one and replaced with new one. Super easy to do.
