My dishwasher is no longer draining. We unplugged it and checked that the water drain hose wasn't clogged, which it isn't. We're wondering if the pump might be broken. How can we be sure? What other possible causes could there be for this kind of problem? How can it be fixed?
Thanks
For model number FFBD1821MS1B
Hello Valence, thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the issue seems to be with the drain pump. Listen for a humming sound when the dishwasher is supposed to be draining. If you hear nothing, the pump might be faulty. You can also test the drain pump's electrical component for continuity using a multimeter to see if there's a broken electrical path. If the motor doesn't have continuity or won't run when powered, the pump is likely faulty. The part number is PS3498109. We hope this sorts out your problem!
