My dishwasher started making a very loud humming sound when it’s supposed to switch from sensing and pre rinse to washing. I think that’s the pump
Motor. It drains well. I’m. It sure if it’s the inlet valve or something deeper. How would I narrow it down?
Do I have to get the entire motor assembly?
Any help would be appreciated.

The part number listed under your model number for the pump motor is PS8747117. I can’t find the screw on cap where you pour the jet dry in so can I order that part?

Hello Susan, thank you for the question. According to the manufacturer, the white cap, part number PS421128, will fit the detergent dispenser and it can be ordered. The grey cap is only available as part of the dispenser. We hope this helps.
I removed old tub gasket, which the door presses against to make a seal, and put the new one in. Flat tip screwdriver was used to gently press gasket in.
Over Thanksgiving, the spray arm in my dishwasher apparently popped off and was partially melted. I remounted it inside the dishwasher, but the new hole was on the side of the arm. I think this resulted in water being sprayed directly against the door and not up through the top holes. It flooded my kitchen floor.

... Read morerm pops on and off with plastic tabs (?) at the base. You can lightly pry with a butter knife or simply wiggle it off. The new one popped right on. Easiest repair EVER.
