I have a double oven and the display often stays dark, the upper parts is dark or sometimes the lower buttons are dark intermittently. It also occasionally sets a u60 code for the upper oven.
I would appreciate any insight you could provide.
For model number EO230SCH
Hello Court, thank you for your question. This is a cooling fan error code. The cooling fan on the top back of the unit is bad. There is a sensor that is built into the fan that fails on these units that cause this error code. Unfortunately the entire fan motor needs to be replaced to fix the issue and it is now a discontinued part. We hope this helps.

When first turning on top oven the preheat turns on but it indicates it starts out at 274 going to the bake set temp at 350. The bottom oven starts preheat at 70, the temp. of the kitchen. Then the U22 code shuts down the top oven. Does the strange preheat indication of 274 tell us anything whether its a sensor or the board?? I have already cleaned the sensors and hardwired them in.
For model number EO230SCH
Hi Ron, thank you for contacting us. The preheat indication of 274 and the "U22" error code indicate a faulty oven temperature sensor, part number PS16630998, and the relay control board, part number PS16554203. Please test the temperature sensor with a multimeter and make sure its resistance reading is in the range of 1000-1200 ohms. If the sensor is good, the issue is most probably related to the relay control board. We hope this solves your problem!

Two striped out screw heads
Purchased a screw extractor set from the local Ace Hardware (SpeedOut). Be sure and carefully follow the screw extractor instructions as written (counterclockwise turn). Removed old screws and replaced them with new screws supplied by PartSelect.

Foil burned onto bake glass
A foil oven liner was accidentally placed on the bake glass which covers the heating element. This is a very simple repair with the correct size allen wrench. Unscrew the screws to the liner holding the bake glass in place, take out the old bake glass, put in the new one and screw the liner back in place.
