The machine has been noisy for a while - squealing when washing, it has now stopped with a burning smell. Suggestions for cause and repair? Thanks.
For model number CW6000W
Hello, Thank you for your question. There are a few parts to check on, the first would be the drive belt- Part#PS11738882, if it is worn or stretched, it will cause the unit to squeak and cause a burning smell. If the belt is fine you will need to check the pulley and the motor. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair.

Crosley washer cw 6000 w serial # 12252603 yk, top agitator component blades cracked and fell off, so i need that part, machine will agitate left to right, it only agitates in one direction which is clockwise only, spin cycle is running but clothes are still fairly heavy with water, so you have to reset the final spin cycle to get more water out of the load. Other than the top agitator needs replacement, what else is worn out?

I used a flat screw driver to push in on the releases so I could raise the top of the machine. I then used a torx tool to remove both parts of the hinge, and then used a #2 phillips screw driver, on the new screws I'd also ordered, to re-attach both of the hinge parts. Every thing went just as anticipated.
The pump is located behind a small panel on the back, lower left side of my washer. It's attached to the bottom frame with 3 screws. It has two hoses attached, each with one spring clamp.
