the primer pump, when pushing on the primer pump does it act as the fuel pump for the trimmer? the bulb should fill with gas if it is working properly, right? Can the pump part be replaced or does the whole carb assembly need to be replaced?
Thanks.
For model number CMXGTAMDAXSC
Hi Denzil, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the primer bulb works by creating a vacuum that draws fresh fuel into the intake fuel line. The fuel is then deposited into the carburetor, preparing it to make the perfect fuel-air mixture. The primer bulb comes as a part of the carburetor, part number PS16427166, so you may need to replace the carburetor. We hope this helps!
